 i tryed starting a new game with a import profile and it says.( Mass Effect save game not found please run the configuration utility to copy your save game to the appropriat location) i bet the game with 2 differnt people. so how do i do that what it says i need to do

You need to do what it tells you to do, hit configure to run the configuration tool, then go down to "save games" and click "copy mass effect 1 save games" then browse to my documents, and go Bioware>mass effect>Save, then hit OK, and your done!
