I was thinking...

It would be cool if Zaeed wasn't on our side in ME3. All he really is is a hired gun; with a less than prominent role in ME2. Who is to say that he won't just fill the void as some faceless enemy in ME3 depending if he died in ME2?

I know there will be some haters, but whatever.

But in ME 2 he worked for Cerberus not for Shepard.
And big surprise Cerberus is an enemy of ME 3.

I'd say Zaeed is smart enough not to try and go all bounty hunting on Shepard. Even he realizes the Reapers are a threat and Shepard is doing all he/she can to stop them.
He really has to be dumb as hell to kill him/her.

I brought him down a peg or two in his loyalty mission. I bet he'd be inclined to have my back rather than be in my face when the **** hits the fan. If anyone knows who's strong enough to get behind, it's Zaeed.

He's alredy dead in one of my PT's but I'd have no problem putting a round in his head in ME3 >xD

I can't see Zaeed working for Cerberus in ME3. The Illsuive Man hired Zaeed to get Shepard through the Omega-4 Relay, and after the Suicide Mission is complete, I imagine that Zaeed ashed for his payment. If Cerberus paid him, Zaeed has no need to keep following the Illusive Man's orders. If Cerberus didn't pay him, Zaeed probably cut ties with them and swore some sort of revenge. Either way, Zaeed is no longer Cerberus' hired gun.

It's possible that Cerberus could've paid Zaeed for the Omega-4 Relay job, then offered to hire him again to kill Shepard, but I think Zaeed would know better than to take that commission. He would just take his money and run.

Zaeed isn't stupid, even though i didn't let him kill Vido he still know that Shepard is the person you want on your side and not on the other side

Which doesn't mean that Zaeed will be hired to kill Shepard. Zaeed could be doing other work for Cerberus, and then have a confrontation with Shepard. Bioware could even have a paragon or renegade option so you wouldn't have to kill him.

I'd love to have Zaeed as an enemy. I've been fantasizing about shooting him in the head since I first downloaded him. He's the most atrocious Bioware character this side of Jacob Taylor...

I imagine like everyone working with Shepard for a while eventually develops some kind of respect for him. Even Miranda 'Cerberus to the core' Lawson eventually respected/liked/loved (take your pick) Shepard enough to make her leave Cerberus. Which is surprising considering she owes everything to Cerberus. If even Miranda can be made to follow Shepard against Cerberus, Zaeed can as well. He may be a little crude, but he's far more than a dumb muscle or hired gun.

Zaeed knows what the Reapers are. Mercenaries tend to look out for themselves, and I'm 99% sure that Zaeed would realize that it's in his best interest to fight against the Reapers, not side with them.

I would probably be sad but I know he would. He only joined in ME2 cuz he got paid. Also I bet if you ask him why his trying to kill you he'll probably say "it's business nothing personal".

Giving Zaeed to the Reapers is actually a genius plan when you think about it. We can use his, uh, talent for not preserving his teammates' lives.

intersting idea... i didnt get to meet zaeed cause my copy didnt come with the cerberus code and i aint spending 1200 ms points for it unless their free haha but i think the role of named enemy will be filled by kai leng in me3 honestly

I don't see it. At the bottom of his heart, Zaeed is a patriot. He gets really angry when aliens are killing humans.

Are you sure he's in ME 3? I thought he wanted to retire by loading up a ship with explosives and crash it into Omega.
Unless he survived it.

I think he's planning to retire.

If he does decide to come after Shepard, he must be stupider than I thought. He's worked with Shepard enough to know how badly that ends for people.

I know Zaeed is intelligent but he know's his mortality. He's just a hired gun, pretty old, not much anchoring to care much except revenge against Vido(in SB dossiers, he even considers getting a ship full of explosives and suiciding on Omega(maybe joking, maybe not). Shepard may have kept him from doing that, so maybe the Reapers appeal to his desire for revenge, I could see it happening. Perhaps I'm reading to much into it. Thoughts?

 i think if you didnt get zaeed's loyalty during his mission he should be an enemy. but not like a full blown boss battle, maybe like a confrontation scene if he's your enemy or just a meeting to caught up on things. (if he wont be a squad mate, or get a mission, or play an important role in destroying a reaper)

I think Zaeed liked Shep too much. Think about it. It might have a little fight, then be like, "oh, holy crap. It's you Shep!" Then he'd be on your side again if anything. If you've been around Shep you can't go against her/him. It just doesn't happen. The galaxy's biggest badass and you're going to try to kill them? nope.
