I bought, downloaded, and installed the Shadow Broker DLC. However, whenever I start ME2 I cannot find where to start playing. Cerberus Network shows the DLC in its 'News' but I don't find any email in Shepard's journal referencing the DLC.

How do I play this DLC (this is my first DLC for ME2)?

Are you past Horizon in your game, if not then you will not get the mission until you pass it and get access to Illium.

Also have you logged into the Cerberus network on the main screen??  The dlc has to be activated by having the game link to the account you bought it in.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I don't think I've gone past Horizon yet but I'll mess around with the quests and see. I've been able to log in to Cerberus and Shadow Broker is in the 'News' where it wasn't before I installed the DLC so that part seems to work.

Are all the DLC for ME2 only accessible after you complete certain parts of the game (it'd be nice that if the DLC was only available at a certain point that this would be noted in the DLC information)?

For the most part only Shadow broker and Arrival are available after Horizon. Which kinda makes sense, especially for Shadow Broker dlc since it takes place on a planet that you can't get to until after Horizon. Everything else is pretty much available as soon as you get the Normandy 2, except for Genesis comic which runs at the beginning.
