Ya that's true I didn't think about that, Wolf. Thanks, Gigglez I think it would work well too.

No seriously, even when you think might satisfy a large group of people, there will be others who are buttpained. Not really anything anyone can do to avoid this.

I just provide rainbows, regardless of what anyone says.

Well there will always be people angry just for the sake of being angry, but if we're trying to go for the biggest satisfied group possible, I think what I said at the beginning of the topic might work.

Ahh good point, as long as I am in the middle with Garrus in the back and Tali in the front it all works... Great team work as well, Garrus gets the long range shots while Tali can just hack everyone so she can use them how ever she pleases.

Sorry, even if this option were added there will no no peace because there is simply no pleasing the romance maniacs here, they'll always want more. Better to just do away with romances completely so there wouldn't be anything to b*tch and moan about, but that will never happen.

While it's true that some people will never be pleased, why not aim to please everyone else who isn't deliberately trying to find reasons to be angry?

What I suggested would solve all of these problems. :wizard:

What you suggested has been suggested before. Many many times. And it still isn't enough. For some people, just seeing the dialoge option ruins their immersion(whatever the hell that is). Which is why this toggle nonsense has been appearing so much lately.

The people that see something wrong with it are probably just trying to find reasons to complain. People are going to have to compromise in this. They should think "what could be best for everyone?" instead of thinking "what is best for me specifically?" And if anything the toggle would be more offensive to people than the simple dialogue option. It would help if BioWare would give us some indication of what they were doing so this kinf of bickering wouldn't continue.

The war will never end. Not everyone is going to be satisfied, there are Bi/******'s in the ME community and there are homophobics. It just can't be resolved and is no way is one side gonna give up what they believe in.

I don't support a toggle but one of the things I find ironic is the S/S crowd saying don't pick S/S options if you don't want it. Don't choose to toggle if you don't want it. PS I know it won't be in the game, but if it made it so all the characters wouldn't want shepard and that was the only way to avoid characters who shouldn't be bi hitting on shepard I might reconsider. Right now I'll just hope they implement better ways to avoid romances, without using something that could be considered insulting such as a toggle.

I don't see how what I suggested would require people to give up what they believe in. If they don't want to use the romantic dialogue, they don't have to.

Being in an S/S romance is option. Toggling (hypothetically) wouldn't be option. Difference.

Its all Bioware's fault if they would've stuck to their vision of heterosexual male Shepard and bisexual female Shepard these pro s/s vs. anti s/s threads wouldn't exist..

I totally agree with you, but many people forget bioware already said there would be s/s romance options. Since most people are neutral on the s/s argument, having s/s romances would actually please the majority since s/s haters would be the minority

Why are you painting all anti s/s people with the same brush .
Some are homophobic, some don't like existing characters becoming bi, and other wants Bioware to make the game the wya they intentended and stop appeasing minor groups

It will never end. Might as well buckle down and try to enjoy 8 more months of this.

You've got the gay community being overly reactive and sensitive on one side. Not all, but some. Many of the peope getting called homophobes are bigots are just people who are a little uncomfortable or concerned in dealings with s/s content who certainly don't deserve the flak they get. Can we please stop the mindless name-calling?

Then you have people who feel like they have to needlessly harp on Bioware for finally being inclusive, accusing them of being politcally correct and pandering. They are also fond of demonizing the entire gay community for the actions of some. Then they bring up words like "whiner" or "fanatic". Really, can you blame them for defending their position and the content they've campaigned for 4 years to get? No matter how brutally? It's like trying to deny someone their paycheck.

It's hilarious.

It wouldn't? I might be a little slow but choosing to use it or not = option doesn't it?

You might be right, or we'd have more "Oh woe is me, I'm not being represented in a video game that I didn't have to buy" threads. Or we'd have "Bioware are a bunch of homophobes" threads, or my personal favorite "I don't care how much work you put into gameplay and story, I demand to be able to screw anything that moves Bioware..."

I know we're all  selfish vying for Bioware's attention

I don't blame people for standing up for what they believe in, but the extend to which they are is a bit overkill. These fights just keep going on and on, and by no means do I think my idea will please everyone. I think it's a pretty good start though. The big problem is that people absolutely will not compromise, no matter how small that compromise is. I think what I suggested has little compromise for both sides, but allows them to experience the romances how they'd like. If seeing one simple dialogue option is horrendous to some people (even though they aren't forced to use it), then I think they are just simply too hard to please.
