Hey all,
I'm doing my second playthrough of ME1 before I pick up ME2, and I'm doing the missions in the same order as I did my first playthrough. That is to say, I just rescued Liara on Therum before doing Feros, Noveria, or Virmire. During my first playthrough, Liara offered to link minds with Shepard to try to comprehend his visions from the Eden Prime beacon. Now, however, she is not offering to do so and I can't seem to figure out why. I am doing all the dialogue options either paragon or neutral, and selecting the ''left' option whenever I can. Is there something I am missing?
Cheers,
Aeropilot

It doesn't seem like the plot would have been advanced enough to trigger that if you haven't done the other three places yet. However, you say this happened to you before? Huh, weird...I didn't think it was possible. Sorry I'm no help.

If I'm remembering correctly, I believe Liara mind-linked with me after hearing that I had made contact with the beacon on Eden Prime, without doing any of the other main story missions. I could be wrong, however, as my first play through was some time ago. Does anybody know if you need to do one of the other 3 "main" planets to trigger the mind-link dialogue?

Liara only joins minds with Shepard after getting the cipher from Shiala and after seeing the vision from the beacon on Virmire.

So the time has, in fact, eroded my memory on the subject. Many thanks, friend.

I know this thread is one year old by now, but I figured I would try to write anyway...
I just started my second playthrough, and encountered the same issue as here; Liara doesn't offer a mind link. There are a few differences in this playthrough, prior the the first;
#1 My Shepard is female infiltrator where the first was a female soldier.
#2 When pretending the information Tali has to Udina, I chose the option that I could now make sense of my vision. (This I don't remember if I did in the first)
#3 I went to The Armstrong Cluster and got the assignment; Geth Incursions, I took out the outpost on Rayingri (in Gagarin system), and after that I went straight to get Liara.
While on the mission I only chose Paragon, Normal and the left bar options, and the same when getting back on The Normandy.
I am going to keep on playing and see if this has removed other options in the game, like other links. I might try to start over and see if there are differences in choices.
I hope this can be solved, not that I think it's a big problem.

I usually do the same order, Therum>Feros>Virmire>Noveria.
I could be wrong but I remember doing at least 2/3 mind melds, once after Liara joins the squad on Therum, after gaining the cipher on Feros, after using Saren's beacon on Virmire, and maybe after Benezia gives up the location of the Mu Relay? The first one she reveals the Reapers and after that it's usually the same cutscene where she can't find anything new and goes to see Chakwas. I always thought that was odd having that many cutscenes, I'm also not sure what the trigger is for them but obviously it is possible to do it at least twice, hence the 'can't find anything new.'

The only reason Liara would mind-scrape you @ Therum, is if you had gone to Feros or Virmire before picking her up.
Just try landing on Therum, after Liara's aboard.

Right, usually non-romantic melds are limited to two with Liara, the third you get with Shiala at Feros.
If you did Therum first, Liara won't meld with you right after unless you've already done Feros or Virmire beforehand. She will, however, still lapse into a daze if her rescue is the first mission you choose.
