...Seriously. This is ridiculous. People have preferences, and just because you like one thing better, that doesn't mean everyone agrees.

Personally, I like my Xbox 360 and its controller better. I grew up with a controller in my hands all of the time, so it feels pretty natural to me. I do have ME2 for PC, and I don't like the controls. They feel awkward to me, because my hands aren't used to using a flat board to play games. Console gamers shouldn't be criticizing PC gamers for their preference, and PC gamers shouldn't be criticizing console gamers for their preference.

As for what is "better," that's a very interesting term. I know many people who would never be able to use a PC's controls properly, and would be much better with a controller. In addition to that, I know many people who would never be able to put up with a controller. There are much more variables to "better" than accuracy. What's "best" is what is best for the player them self.

Well the PC version of ME3 will most likely require the user to install spyware(Origin) and surrender all privacy rights, then a certain other vesrion of ME3 will neverr be capable of importing all the ME1 choices or have its platform ever run ME1 so that only leaves one absolute winner in the which platform is Mass Effect best on discussion.

This has been discussed to death, you are always part of these discussions, and it never ends well. It's also irrelevant since this thread is about controller support in the PC version which has nothing to do with Origin, the Xbox 360 or PS3. If you want to ignite another flame war, take it to /v/.

Origin should have everything to do with any discussion of ME3 on PC....what it does has been well proven and documented, I still don't manage to understand why any one person would not be outraged when a company like EA tries to trample all over his/her rights let alone choosing to submit to something like Origin. With bills like SOPA in the works, shutting Origin down should be right up there with the highest of priorities.

Eh...to be honest. I've said this before, I understand that it does breach privacy and all that other legal rights stuff, I cannot bring myself to be outraged. Maybe it's because, on a complete personal level (and not a legal/law/moral level) I really don't care if EA is spying on my PC. They might come away a bit scarred after seeing what I'm seeing though...God have mercy on them.

Oh good, this. Look, I'm a diehard PC gamer, but at least I can recognize that movement is generally more flexible with an analog stick. There are times where I wish I could move somewhere between 0% and 100% without having to use an additional walk-toggle button. In that regard, the controllers are better.

Now, those wishful thoughts are few and far between compared to the number of times I all but threw my controller at the wall because the autoaim on ME2 made me miss sniper shots. I'll take slightly clunky movement over autoaim any day of the week.

And really people, as I understand it, there is a mouse+keyboard option for most consoles, and a controller option for PCs, making that part of the PC vs. console argument absolutely pointless.

Upon reflection, it occurs to me that not everybody buys a decent mouse.

Controllers are better than SOME very low-quality mice and keypads. Also, some gamers are simply more familiar with a gamepad.

However, it's a simple fact that, as a PC player, the Revenant Light Machine Gun is not the "spray and pray" weapon that it is for most console players, simply because control of it is a simple matter when you have enough pixels in your resolution, a smooth frame rate and the precise control of a good-quality gaming mouse -- and that's just one example.

And no, that is not just an opinion or a preference.
