I must admit I am one of the people who don't like the look of Vega but that does not mean that he will not be a valuable asset to the team.

I,m also sure that we will here more about him as time goes by and perhaps my opinion of him will improve over time and that old adage "don't judge a book by its cover" is hopefully true in this case.

So for me its just the look I don't like not the substance of the character which is yet to be revealed in depth.

He's initially there to cater to the newcomers, if he'll be anything else beside that is yet to be seen.

I have the feeling that he'll be a douchebag just like Jacob was, but I hope I'm wrong and that he's finally badass. Don't want a Jacob 2.0

even if he is a douchebag, i dont mind. i dont need every character to be an amazing super unique butterfly with a troubled past.

a douchey space marine meathead? sure why not, figured we'd actually eventually get one. hell its the same as having a krogan except for not being a krogan and everyone loves krogans.

but there are so much girls being badass...jack, miranda, ashley...the men are always servile and dependend from Shepard (Zaed is an exception, but he's just a dlc character)...that's a bit annoying.
