A variation of a couple of the Council themed cheevs:

Secret Achievement: ...All They Found Was A Finger (10g, Bronze Trophy) Using a Renegade interrupt, shoot the Turian Councilor's finger off, mid air quote

Damn, that'd be nice......

I don't care so much what the achievements are, precisely. I just want them to function like they did in ME1: each achievement (or most of them, anyway) gives you a bonus to some aspect of the game. Quicker cooldowns, shield bonus, damage bonus, and so on. ME1 is the only game where I've actively tried to get the various achievements.

Not sure if console users know this but PC gamers also have achievements in the Mass Effect games.

No they don't. Where did you get this false idea from?

Seriously

I'll post my achievements screen from my PC copy of ME2 when I get home if you'd like to see it.

As long as there are no "secret" achievements then I'll be good. "Secret" achievements are the stupidest things.

^ If they're used to prevent spoiling parts of the story when going through the list, then I'm cool with "Secret" achievements.

Well, secret achievements have generally been used to avoid spoilers in the past. They're generally achievements you will unlock over the course of the game based on your decisions. In that context, I have to say I approve of them. Now, if they were secret and the achievement turned out to be something like 10 headshots in a row or something then I would disapprove.

OK I'll start with the much vaunted:

Don't fear the Reaper 100G - Finish all 3 games with the same Shepard.

ofc, it wont happen cos of the PS3 n00bs.

No it will not happen on the simple fact that not everyone has the three games. It is unreasonable to assume that player will buy 3 games, just to get one achevement. It has nothing to do with Ps3 players. :)

On achevements. I would love it if they would include mostly impossible tasks. Word "Achevement" has suffered inflation as it is. Posted Image

They aren't achievements.

They are. Not sure why you're confused on this if you have the PC version. There's also achievements in the DA series.

There is no confusion.  We are talking about different things.
I'm referring achievements in the traditional XBL sense, as in you fulfil a requirement, you unlock the achievement, you get a gamerscore reward that adds to a cumulative total.

This doesn't happen in ME2 on PC because it isn't a GFWL game, and you don't sign in to a gamertag.

sighineedname wrote...

I'm pretty sure you're just trolling, but whatever.

Not in the slightest.  Unlockables aren't the same as achievements.

If they aren't Achievements per se, on the PC, then why is it there's this big banner above them that says "Achievements" when I open the screen to look at them?

I think your argument about "achievement inflation" speaks well for the 3 game Shepard tbh :-)

Well, this is what I thought of:
  • I don't suffer from Insanity-  Beat ME2 on Insanity, import that save and beat ME3 on Insanity or beat ME3 on Insanity, twice!
  • Distorted-  Use Warp 75 times
  • Overlord of the Overload-  Use Overload 75 time
  • Toasty-  Kill 50 enemies by burning them alive
  • Chill to the bone- Destroy 50 frozen enemies
  • IMPRESSIVE- have Garrus kill 25 enemies
  • This is KROGAN!- Recruit the Krogans to your cause
  • This ain't a Hologram- Kill 50 enemies with an omni blade

Wire Fryer - Use Overload or Disrupter Ammo to destroy 100 synthetic enemies

Ice Pick - Freeze 100 enemies with Cryo Blast or Cryo Ammo and smash them with a specialized (omni-blade, etc.) melee attack

BBQ - Roast 100 organic enemies with Incinerate or Incendiary Ammo

Magnetic Personality - Use Pull on 100 enemies

Get Out of My Face - Use Throw on 100 enemies

Bowl a Strike - Use Shockwave on 100 enemies

I Will Destroy You! - Use Warp to detonate 100 enemies

I think I speak for everyone here when I say as long as there is an Achievement/Trophy that's called "Don't Fear The Reaper (50g/Gold)" I'll be fine with any Achievements they throw our way as I will probably get all the Achievements like I did in ME1 and 2. I have a few ideas for Achievements/Trophies.

Hard Evidence (20g/Silver): Enlist the aid of the Council.
My Name is Legion for we are Many (30g/Silver): Enlist the aid of the Geth.

Gently Used- Successfully resolve a conflict between your previous and current LI

Viva Las Vega- Save James Vega from *catastrophic situation* (Possible Virmire like choice)

It Doesn't go to 11- Use overload on *x amount* of enemies. (I'm sure there's one for overload already just another possible name)

You Don't Know Jack- Complete Jack's side mission

Mordin You Asked For- Complete Mordin's side mission

Fleet and Flotilla- Only the Turians and Quarians survive the war intact.

What The Frell?- Side with Admiral Xen during the attack on Rannoch (Reference to her VA Claudia Black and how the majority believes she's cuckoo for cocoa puffs) Result of Renegade choice.

Qwib Your Bickering- Side with Admiral Zaal'Korris during the attack on Rannoch. Result of Paragon choice

Here, Hold This- Successfully lob a grenade into a Cannibal's mouth resulting in its death.

Iron Stomach- Sample the local cuisine from every species' home planet.

Master Mold- Save the galaxy as the Sentinel class. (reference from X-men comics)

Edit: Thought of one more

Sorry if any names/descriptions have been repeated already as I'm posting this from work and only skimmed the other posts.
