After a reasonably hefty search with google and various forum searches, I have succumbed to having to ask :(

I'm currently replaying the OC and my wizard has reached the quest In Koraboros' Service and being the loot**** that I am, I looted the bookshelf with the quest item to unfreeze the imp before receiving the quest. Now, I have discovered that this can be game-stopping, but I have also come across a couple of other tidbits.

One poster somewhere stated that there was another way to get Koraboras to open his portal, but as yet I am unable to discover it.

The other option was an idea from a thread on this site where one of the responses mentions:
rs 22a_advance_construct_quest()
for the Construct quest. So my question is: is there a similar script that I could run to advance this quest (along with maybe a global_int change) that would save me from having to revert to a 3-hour-previous save? (yes yes, save often etc -.-)

yep, Looks like

rs 26a_fire_conduit("koraboros")

should do the trick. Should probably set your journal, too:

rs ga_journal("26_koraquest", 30, 1, 1, 0)

These two commands should mark your Journal complete for Kora's Quest, and set an Int on the module, opening another portal/conduit ..

(will check back tomorrow, Zzzzzz)

Thanks for the promptish response! I shall check these now...

... It works! I'd say you were a life saver, but that would be melodramatic, though my Wizard may disagree as it was his life you saved from me giving up ^^

Out of curiosity, where did you find these scripts? It would be a lot easier if I come across other issues to merely look it up, than have to come crawling back for more answers :)

Thanks again for fixing it :D

( edit, it's not where did i find them, it's how did i find them )

dear Dr. Watson,

First, you'll need a list of modules/areas in the OC+

:P Open the problem module/area in the Toolset. Look through things like: conversations on creature blueprints, string variables on triggers, and of course onLoad & onEnter events of modules & areas. It helps to smoke a pipe and wear a funny hat.

The scripts themselves are either in (1) the Data folder of your installation, (2) the Campaign folder of your installation, (3) the Override folder of your MyDocs. Or (4) inside the modules themselves (the Toolset will unpack these into a subfolder of ProgFiles->NwN2->modules).

Often - as in this case - the fix for an issue can be deciphered by studying the Conditional & Action scripts of a problem'd critter's conversation file. The standard Global Action ( ga_* ) scripts that are frequently used for The Fix! are typically in the Data or Campaign folders and can be filtered from the OpenScript menu of the Toolset.

seemple,

ps. Don't forget a custom script could be written, compiled, and then invoked from Override ..

I'm tempted to turn this into my own "Help meeee" thread -.-
I've run into another bug that the good folk on google seem to have also found, but not corrected. So I open up the module list and go to open the toolset, as instructed and wonder of wonders... the toolset won't open! Once again back to google and discover I'm not the only one with said issue. However the "install dx 9.0c and .net 3.5" didn't solve my issue :(

The quest in question is "Reach the Vale of Merdelain". I have the Tome of Iltkazar (2 in fact  (loading a previous save and not looting the 2nd did nothing)) and yet Aldernon refuses to acknowledge that I have it.

So once again I'd like to ask for the quest advancement line for the console (and journal update) and maybe some insight as to how to get my toolset working? (Literally nothing happens after running the nwn2toolsetlauncher.exe or the toolset link from the nwn2launcher.exe, not even a flash or any process running).

hi Spireh,
we have a thread about The Tome of Iltkazar, not long ago - apparently Aldanon does *not* react to the Tome right away. There's a link to a walkthrough there (in miniature typeface ..) and, at present, it seems peeps are jumping the gun to get to the Vale: but if your PC still got an issue with Aldanon give another hollo in that thread (or here) & i'll see it. (There are like 4 scenes between first getting the Tome and Aldanon acknowledging)

The Toolset ...
i wish .. everyone's toolset worked. Double check file-paths .. if applicable? Is it a Steam install?
