Hopefully not. What a pisshole.

A shame it pops up in all of ME2 derivative fiction now, because it was in the game and was RECOGNIZABLE. Not bad, for a pisshole. Bad, because it's basically the Star Wars treatment, where every character to ever show up on the screen has his own "amazing" story described somewhere because the spice must flow, and tie-ins to the movies must be made.

Please Bioware, Omega *is* a pisshole. Nobody but Aria speaks of that place favorably, it's a total dump. The galaxy is *kind of* big, and there are supposed to be many space stations... Please stop shoving Omega in our faces.

Hey look, we're on Omega again! Isn't ME universe GREAT?

It's kind of the centre of the Terminus Systems.

Well, if all the locations here are final, then Omega is guaranteed.

One of the red circles is the Omega Nebula.

That empty space really did help with the sense of scale. Compare ME1's Citadel to ME2's, and the fact that you can run through more than a Walmart's worth of space really does help the sense of scale and immersion.

What Omega really needs, however, is an actual justification for being important in the first place. The entire Terminus was pretty much a 'meh' in ME2 in terms of showing why/how it/they mattered.

Immersion and sense of scale are nice words, but that doesn't stop the Citadel being a "never forget" of level design.

At least something was going on with it in ME2.

I couldn't care less about Omega in ME2.

It wasn't done right.

The station was huge like the citadel but the interior scope was more like that of a small village.

Where is the scope that we had with the citadel in ME1?

I want these massive space stations portrait right.I want the interiors to reflect the exteriors.

The citadel felt so small and insignificant in ME2 but everyone who played ME1 knows what the citadel really is and has actually seen its true scope. I want the wards, the presidium etc. back.

I miss the ME1 Citadel and The Presidium.

The Citadel being much smaller with no access to The Presidium legitimately pissed me off.

Waste of resources that they could use to make combat better. MOAR ACTION!

P.S. Iam serious.

Nothing was going on with it in ME2. If you were too lazy to actually explore the wonderfully open and scenic citadel in ME1, there was always a fast travel within 10 paces of every major location. This is one of those things where, god forbid, ME1 succeeded where ME2 failed.

I want the scope of ME hubs but the detail of ME2.

As stated before, the Citadel in ME was big but felt rather empty at times for a place that's suppose to be the central hub of galactic civilization. In ME2, the Citadel was smaller but felt significantly richer compared to ME's Citadel. I really hope Bioware would combine both strengths in ME3.

I doubt they'd get someone like Carrie Anne-Moss to voice Aria T'Loak, who had like 8 lines in all of ME2, and not have a reason to go back and see her on Omega again in ME3.

I read somewhere Omega and Ilium will reappear. I don't how Bioware could justify locking them off to us so expect to see it again.

You're right, it would be brilliant idea to throw all your gameplay/combat designers into level editing.

It probably will. Cerberus is rumored to be based beyond the Omega-4 as of Mass Effect 3, so, Omega will be a pivotal front.

How about this for a fresh new spin, the remains of the Batarian military have sequestered Omega as a staging area for what is left of thier fleets.

Nah, that would mean at least the players would ignore any distress signals from Omega. Hatred for Batarians > Love of Omega/Aria.

I dont know why so many people are pi$$ing and moaning about lack of exploration of the "huge space stations". Only the relevant bits are created. Making it 100% explorable would be the same as making the planets 100% explorable in ME1. Unnecessary waste of resources.

Yeah sure render a full space station devoid of any life with nothing to do in them. Oh wait I'm sure fans of dem skyboxes would love that. In fact here's a great idea. Just make a toggle for giant open space stations! Everyone would be happy then right?

*sighs*

How did I miss it?! Did anyone already matched the map and labeled all the locations so we know all the places in ME3 we will visit? :D

I want to see a scene where everybody is evacuating Omega while it is being torn apart by Reapers.

I think I saw somewhere that it was acutally the reapers that made Omega. It's just everyone assumed over time that corporations husked it out. To me that makes it more than interesting. Not necessarily the whole thing, but Omega was built on top of a reaper foundation of sorts (maybe the first people who found it assumed it was the other corporations/prothean failed mining?)

It's in one of the books, with (Grayson?) Walking through. The reaper that's controlling him tells him something, don't know what though. If someone is obliged as to look it up I'd be grateful.

Omega was built by the Reapers.

And Cerberus (apparently) evicts Aria from it in Invasion. Sure it will be in ME3!
