So I just finished my... idk, fifth playthrough of ME2 and yet again I jumped straight to the Omega 4 Relay when the crew was captured in order to prevent Kelly from dying instead of Lilith, and yet again it seems at this stage I won't be able to finish the dialoge chain with Legion unless I chose to leave one or two crewmates unloyal.
Is there any playthrough optimization that allows me to enter the Omega 4 early enough to save Kelly while either having completed Legion's dialogue chain beforehand or allowing me to do so afterward? The N7 missions don't signal the following stage in conversation with your crew so leving those undone wouldn't help.
Also, unrelated question: Are missions done after the Suicide Mission still flagged for save file transfer, or is it like ME1 where your choice of Councilor is made after the save file is created for beating the game and thus not automatically carried over into the second game?

As far as dialogue I don't know, N7 and DLC missions have always advanced dialogue for me.
And I don't know (this is something a Bioware employee would have to answer), but I'm guessing that a save file becomes transferable after the suicide mission but it still counts decisions made afterwards so long as you, well, save the game. Especially since Arrival is meant to take place after the suicide mission.
