Sorry for reposting this, but all the threads I can find about it are over 4months old & I posted it in the wrong place....

I have been playing the ultimate edition of Dragon Age origins and 2 of my friends are also playing this game.

None of us have unlocked the Blight Queller Achievement on xbox 360.

I am on my 6th playthrough and I know that I have killed more than about 3000 darkspawn with my own character with me in control.

On my 4th playthrough I deleted the Ostegar & Awakenings DLC as I read that this could be causing the problem.
I also read that it has to be with the main character & me in control, so I have been leaving camp on my own, or making the rest of the team hold position so I can get the darkspawn kills.

I have not imported my characters from the 4th, 5th or 6th playthroughs into the awakenings or dragon age 2 yet. This is the only achievement I have left to complete this game and I know I have killed way over 3000 with my character & me in control....

Much as I love the game i am not looking forward to a 7th playthrough knowing its not going to unlock the achievement

Can anyone help with this achievement??

Having the same problem, playing on the collectors edition. On my 7th playthrough. I'm trying the Alienage save and reload thing but when I go into the alienage my darkspawn kills are at 659 then when I've killed them all on my own with no party they're at 711 roughly, then I make a new save and reload the save for the beginning of the alienage and my darkspawn kills are back at 659. Is this supposed to happen, is the counter invisible as in does it keep track of your kills across all playthroughs? I'm really stuck here and could use some help.

Same here...and it is the last achievement I need. Annoying!

I read it's invisible but it actually does take into account what you have killed even when reloading an earlier save - I've yet to try it myself though but lots of other people have said it works.

You have to do it with your main character only and in a single playthrough. Due to a current bug.
Many people suggest doing this during the Siege of Denerim in the Alienage area, by saving at the start. Soloing through the area. Saving a new save then reloading the old save at the start and doing it again.

And yes the counter is invisble by doing this method. What happens is when you start a new character or even load into DLC or Awakening it resets your counter to 0. Since its not counting multiple plays or characters.

Yep i feel you pain iv played through so many times iv lost count . But i didnt know that the count was invisable. I shall try this and let you know.

I eventually made 5 different saves, just before going to Landsmeet.
I then loadedd save 1 - played through to the end and saved over save 1
I loaded save 2 - played through to the end and saved over save 2
I then loaded save 3 and did the same, eventually when I had 5 playthroughs from the landsmeet on 5 different saves, I reloaded save 1 and hay-presto 1750g for Dragon Age

Please note; the achievement did not pop for me until I loaded my original game save!

I had this problem when I played. The best way to be sure you get it, is to load a save in Denerim Siege, in the Alienage. Play through the Alienage, killing the Darkspawns. Once all of them are dead, SAVE.

Than reload before the fight, and kill them off again. After they are all dead, re-save to the Save Point where you killed them (over save it), reload before the fight. Just keep repeating this until you get it.

I heard the patch, re-sets your counter or something I'm not sure of. That's how I got it, I did work for me. A bit time consuming though because you won't be sure where you are at until the Achievement pops.
