We haven't heard his voice, we have no idea of what his personality will be like and for one he is not a handsome guy. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, I mean he's a ****ing soldier, where does it say "you have to be >this< pretty to enlist!"?

They want him, as I understand it, to be a raw recruit - someone who's fresh to the conflict in the galaxy and who's looking at things with new eyes. We have zero idea of what Vega is like as a person or what he sounds like atm - we only know what he looks like, and that's not much to go on atm. However, I am glad that I don't have the umpteenth biotic or engineer on my team.

not neccesarily. do you really think a bit of extra body mass makes a difference on this kind of battlefield? smaller people tend to be faster and less likely to be hit. (smaller target)
