Also, we need a Geordie in space. Just cause.

Pffft. We don't need a Geordie, we need a Northern Irishman. Like a futurisitc Jimmy Nesbitt.

what we need is a welshman, and we couldnt have a geordie as apparently many americans cant understand the accent

I like everything about this comment, both statements very true

I'm sure that there was a Welshman on a futurama episode once.

Welshy!!

Yea because 2 minutes of voice over work and the fact that he had a sniper rifle instantly makes this guy a badass. /sarcasm <_< God, I hate people who put these 2 together.

Snipers are the new black... Personally I blame "Enemy at the gates"

Did you miss the part where he one shotted a husk from right at the top of the Big Ben tower?

I blame CoD's Gaz and Ghost for the British part. They had the audacity to use the same voice actor for 2 different MAIN characters and they are supposedly doing the same thing for MW3.

I dont see how that makes him a badass. Woo hoo you shot the enemy from a vantage point like you were trained to do. What? you want a medal? Shut up and do your job.

If I was in his shoes I would try but I'd probably miss painfully. And that's assuming that I'd still be standing and fighting (and not fleeing) when there are giant invincible starships wrecking the place.

They are pretty generic but then again most of us Americans are pretty stupid and gobble this **** up. I fortunately have a best friend who is British and know that not all Brits have the same accent.

They always use the posh or cockney English accents in these type of games, for two reasons: they are easily understandable and are the ones non-British people (mostly Americans) stereotypically associate with England. I would love if there were a scouser or geodie, In SPACE, but that's as likely as a Reaper squadmate, but saying that...... Reaper for squadmate and LI.

Wow so insulting to Americans here.

I just think the sniper is a cool guy who'd be fun to have on the team

We're like the well-intentioned simpleton who works at everybody's office. Everybody knows that we're trying to unjam the copy machine but no one has the heart to tell us we're only jamming it more.:pinched:

We need Dave Lister on the squad.

*Critical Mission Failure.*

"Wait a minute, EDI; are you tranna tell me everybody's dead?"

Somebody: "We need a plan!"
Shepard: "We fight or we die; that's the plan!"
Kaidan: "That's... a pretty basic plan there, Shepard. Anybody else have any ideas?
Lister: "Well, yes, I have, actually, Kaidan Why don't we go down to the ammunition stores, get the nuclear warheads and then strap one to my head? I'll nuke the smegger to oblivion!" *Makes headbutting motion*

He'd even make a great New Guy over Vega:

Mordin: Question which occurs: if this Galaxy is supposed to be teeming with ancient lifeforms, where are they all?
Lister: What are you implying?
Mordin: No implication intended, Lister.
Lister: Yes, there is. You're saying there's some huge damn metal fish out there, aren't yer? Some kinda gigantic weird pre-historic leviathan ship, who's porked his way through this entire galaxy.
Mordin: That's one option.
Lister: Any alternatives?
Mordin: None that occur.

If he doesn't appear in the game at all I'll just assume that both the character and events depicted were canon, but that he made his last stand in Big Ben. He looked to be badly wounded as it was.

To be fair, Cheryl Cole had to leave American X Factor because no one could understand her Geordie accent, and the regional accents of Britain will only be a problem in English speaking countries, namely the USA (because it is the largest one).

Don't think anyone's really insulting american's here, I think the point they're making is that were all sick of the population of the galaxy having american accents, don't the Russians, Chinese or Europeans have any colonies?.

and if anything the reason everyone likes him is because he's not your stereotypical bad-ass, the sniper thing does help though

I think he was just in the trailer for effect or something. Just because he was in a trailer means he's going to be in the game. And I really don't want to hear some generic guy with a British accent.

Generic? Oh sir, Sean Bean is FAR from generic haha :D

He is a sniper with a British accent. He is the posterboy for stereotypical shooter video game badass.

Am I the only one who wants the Engineers to actually be voiced by a Scottish Voice Actor? Rather than the bad fake accents they were given in ME2? It made me cringe, and not just a Glaswegian accent either, I would like someone from Edinburgh or perhaps further North. I hate the Glaswegian accent.

I remember hearing that we get to see London, New York, and a few other places but we are only going to actually play a level in Vancouver

I hope we get to fight in Canada.

I think the E3 demo with Shepard and Anderson took place in Vancouver.
