Did it once to gain Dominate, never did it again as it's foolish not to pick Samara due to the fact that she's bound by oath to you, Paragon or Renegade.

Her oath to you will eventually expire and Paragon or Renegade she may have a reason to kill you right then.

maybe so, but it  seems that when the oath does expire, she will probably just go away out of respect for Shepard.

Killed Samara once to unlock Dominance....felt rotten about it, just closed my eyes and went for it, was worth it for Dominance though....was not a canon play through.

I never get enough renegade or paragon points to decide who lives and who dies.

Samara tells paragon Shep, he has been a good friend to her and if he ever needs her, she will come.

Samara tells paragon Shep, he has been a good friend to her and if he ever needs her, she will come.

And that's rather the problem... especially after Arrival.

Does no one else see the latent double-meaning in that line?

What makes you think she wouldn't understand the Arrival decision herself...she believes in the Reapers after all.

I tend to like villains and I'm a fan of vampires so even though I quite liked Samara in my first playthrough (when Shep was too crap to kill her) I jumped at the chance to get Morinth in my second playthrough. Morinth is interesting, wish she hadn't spent most of ME2 pretending to be her mother.

I like Morinth better than Samara, but I find the whole "I'm going to pretend I'm Samara" deal boring. So in my canon Morinth is dead. I really like her though.

Also, seeing as my Shepard is Renegade, it will be fun to see what Samara will do after the suicide mission.

I chose Morinth over Samara in about half of my playthroughs. I love them almost equally.
She is an interesting character, at least the little, we have seen. It is fiction, after all. There is enough room for me, not having a problem with her murderous, selfish nature and I used to play a Malkavian on a monthly basis for about four years a while back, so I still have a little bit of crazy blood/mindsucker in me myself and can relate ;-)

"Killing unarmed civilians is wrong."  Regardless of the intent behind the action, the Justicar Code compelled Samara to execute Nihlus.  Samara may understand morally abhorrent actions in the name of the greater good, it seems obvious to me however that her code does not.

Anyways, I only chose Morinth once to unlock domination and then just reloaded afterwards.  As much as I'd love to have the space succubus on the team, I'm trying to RP an anti-hero not a villain.

On my Regen I let Samara live! There you heard it folks! None of my Shep have Morinth alive.

If you talk to Samara she already said she would kill everyone who thinks of her as a hero just to complete a mission.

No, I already have one sociopath on the Normandy, I don't need 2. Besides, Morinth is a horrible being and picking her over her mother makes no sense (even on a renegade standpoint). It's just like killing Shiala after she helps you. Not sure why Bioware even made it an option, honestly...

Then you blew up a colony full of batarians or broke some Justicar law you weren't even aware existed for the best of intentions.

My pseudo-canon Shepard killed her(and Wrex) to see what they would do with Morinth in ME3.

The only character in 'Mass Effect 2' I find more ridiculous and annoying than Samara is Morinth. Both are sociopaths, and Shepard is a moron for trusting either one, regardless of Samara's oath.

However, space samurai is slightly less obnoxious than space vampire, so Morinth gets to embrace eternity, and Shepard gets to rest slightly easier knowing that if/when Samara does lose her ****, at least she'll probably confront him openly as opposed to frying him from behind.

I killed Morinth once to get her power, then I re-loaded and killed Morinth. She's beyond saving to all of my Sheps.

Samara is just awesome! Betraying her must always result in a critical mission failure and deletion of 10 last saves!:devil::devil:
