No, I already have one sociopath on the Normandy, I don't need 2. Besides, Morinth is a horrible being and picking her over her mother makes no sense (even on a renegade standpoint). It's just like killing Shiala after she helps you. Not sure why Bioware even made it an option, honestly...

Shiala may still be indoctrinated. No one else has ever been cured, and very little is known about the process. It's like the rachni decision. She hasn't done anything to hurt you, sure, but you have no guarantee that will continue, and past examples suggesting it won't. A renegade Shep is a practical Shep, who doesn't take chances.

Morinth... has no such justification, and simply doesn't make sense as a choice. Not even "so Samara doesn't kill me for being Renegade," because Samara doesn't even tell you she'll do that until well after the loyalty mission (and she even says she hopes you don't meet again, because she really doesn't want to, and will likely go out of her way to avoid that eventuality, unlike Morinth), and blatant metagaming is not a justification for giving a story option. (She says when you recruit her that if you make her do anything dishonorable, she may have to kill you, but that's not the same thing.)

That said, I do have one sociopathic Shep who does stuff for the Evulz just to see how it'll turn out, and Morinth and Zaeed are the only two left on his ship at the moment.

Actually when you first meet Samara she says she may have to kill you if you make her do anything particularly dishonorable.

Of-course Shepard could also decide to kill her because Morinth will be more useful. She's powerful after all, getting stronger, and her charms don't work on Shepard. She's a useful team-member if her sociopathic tendencies are mitigated... and with SHepard they are.

I've never killed Samara, even for my 'gade shepards.

I might someday, just to get Dominate...but I'd probably have to mute my speakers and look away just so I could get it over with. >.<

Even if I do a renegade playthrough, killing samara for morinth is a decision I'll never make.

I believe the number of people who killed Samara is roughly equal to those that saved Morinth.

Anywho....I love dominate I killed the blue wonderwoman once for the sake of being renegade andto check out dominate, shes got some unique dialogue, like when grunt calls her a **** on Tuchanka(lol character break) same deal with Mordin same place, but shes essentially the same character except she wants to  pleasure you so hard you have a brain fart...litterally Embrace eternity, I'll take the resident MILF cougar anyday.B)

Morinth named herself that, a message in Samara's LOTSB Dossier shows her original name was Mirala.

In my first ME2 playthrough, i killed Samara but only because i failed to entice Morinth and Samara died while holding the line.:?

I like to experience as much of the game as possible so my evil renegade Shepard killed Samara in favour of Morinth.

None of my other 5 Shepard's did.

Other than one playthrough I have with Samara alive, I've saved Morinth every time.

I have one character who killed Samara, my Soldier playthrough. That character is straight-up psychotic, like a lot of the people around here who think killing Samara is justifiable. Well, it's either psychosis, or a pathological need to appear as "badass" as possible due to insecurity, who knows with that character...

Only did it once and I felt like crap afterwards, i'm replaying that playthrough now and i will not betray her again even though my renegade is pretty much chaotic evil... D:

I don't like Samara. Or Morinth, for that matter, but Dominate > Reave. Plus... I get the feeling that that'll make Mass 3 even more interesting.

If I even recruit Samara in the first place (Typically don't. She's boring, her recruitment mission is my least favorite, and I dislike Asari), then I try to get Morinth. But my paragon/renegade is usually too low.

Killed her once to see the results. Reloaded a previous save and never did it again.

The way I see it, both are messed up and reprihensible. But Morinth is Omega where Samara is Illium, Morinth's evil is obvious, Samara's is more complex. At least Morinth could change her ways, Samara's comittment to her code is absolute.

For my paragade, I went with the more pragmatic option. Samara is already on my side and I know what I have with her, don't do anything rash/impulsive. Killed Morinth.

My renegon figured Samara was a threat to her, and a killer like Morinth is no less fit than her mother to go on the mission with me.

Personally, I like Morinth better.
