What is the upkeep cost on talents? Not the actual number, but the definition.
It relates to Mana/stamina

I think he meant: For what timeperiod you always have to pay the number?
And i asked for the Mage specialization "ARCANE Warrior"

The Mage Arcane warrior specialization:
the first specialization can be learned at level 7, the second specialization can be learned at lvl 14.
The talents are:
Combat magic
Aura of might
Shimmering shield
Fade shroud

Combat magic: (can be chosen @ lvl 7) this mode when active channels magice inward trading off an increase in fatigue, while on the other hand giving you an attack bonus. you also use spell power to increase the damage on attacks.
cost in stamina/mana (0), upkeep mana/stamina (50), fatiugue %mana/stamina (50) ranged (no), cooldown (10), area of effect radius (0)
Aura of Might: (can be chosen @ lvl 12) increased bonus to attack, defense, and damge while in this mode.
Shimmering shield: (can be chosen @ lvl 14) surrounded by this shimmering shield of energy. you get a bonus to armor and all resistances. You block most damage. Mana is consumed very fast though.
Fade Shroud: (can be chosen @ lvl 16) You are phased partly in the world and partly in the fade. There is a chance to avoid most hits and you get a bonus to mana regen.
sorry that took so long

How many hours into the game do you have to play before you get to the Stone Prisoner quest
Take this answer for what it's worth, but the book doesn't start covering the "stone Prisoner quest" until page 300
I don't want to go to the walkthrough section so sorry for vagueness.
UPDATE:
after you leave lothering you can get this quest. So to specifically answer your question, I cannot, I can only say that is comes after you first leave Lothering. (P.S. it's on page 300 because they cover it after the main quest in the book, sorry)

@Deltaboy37: Can you tell me what attributes are important for a Templar? Is there anything said about this class?
I can't tell, there is a small section so far that I have found that talks about the Templars, but I seen a reference to Lockpicking, so I assume cunning, but I can definitely be wrong. I'll keep looking...

Dunno if it matters other forumites. At least i think this does:
If there is a extra chapter for the companions:
When do you get them( early or late?) and what level have they, maybe the talents also?

In gameplay video ,I notice that group of spells/talents has special bar (bottom of a group name) that indicates how many talents is selected in that group.
Maybe this bars indicates a benefit from specialization into a spell school/ group of talents ?
PS sorry if my english too bad
the pictures in the book are too small to really see the talents at the bottom of page, but i think the actuasl game manual may show that rather than the strategy guide.
