Thanks again for describing the talents!

Dunno if it matters other forumites. At least i think this does:

If there is a extra chapter for the companions:
When do you get them( early or late?) and what level have they, maybe the talents also?

This I probably cannot answer due to spoiling the game for myself, but I can say that Alistair is picked up in Ostagar, Liliana - Lothering, Morrigan - Korcari Wilds, Oghren - Orzammar, Shale - Village of Honnleath, Wynne - Circle Tower, Zevran - (Random Encounter), Dog - Castle cousland (Human Noble)/or Ostagar, Loghain - Royal Palace in Denerim, Sten - Lothering.

I hope that helps, I apologize again for not going into more detail.

For the record, I am selling this guide for 15 USD, or 12 on a bid on Ebay. I am getting the CE edition one on Tuesday, I just got a little impatient to see some things in the book. So if you want 5 - 10 dollar savings on the book, stop by Ebay, the profile is Web-Creative.

You'll get an additional inventory space for the team.

I apologize in advance, but I made a pact with myself not to uncover any story elements. Sorry.

I think you can spare her....I don't think morrigan would hate her mother that much...

Are there ways to get talent points outside of leveling up, of the PC or the NPCs?

20 talent points seems a puny number for a mage

There's a quest from the warden's Keep DLC where you can acquire a sword made of starmetal. A tier 8 material. Dragonbone is tier 7. It is the only tier 8 item in the game. No idea what the quest is exactly though.

1 from completing the joining. 1 after the Landsmeet. There are 3 books that you can buy that grant +1 talent each. There MAY be some from quest rewards but that I don't know.

So you can expect to gain a handful of extra talents.

i didn't know that, so do we know the max amount of talents u get? hard to plan for a char like a mage when you get around 20-22 from leveling and now a potential another 3.

There are three books, two copies each from what I read. But one book is mage specific, and one is warrior or rogue specific. So that makes 4 total points possible from books. Thats how I understood it.

mmm, I think I may be forced to actually edit morrigan's initial talent picks with the console if I am to get the spells I want with her... her initial spells are horrendous.... still, I am glad there are some bonus points avaliable atleast.

You say that there are two copies each? perhaps the same character can't read the same book twice then?

He said one is Mage specific and one was warrior/rogue specific. So, no, you can't read them both. Unless you find a way to remove the class tag or some how dual class your character.

I have no way of knowing. I just saw each book listed in two different vendor lists/places. So I guess it's either two or four points from books.

(Sigh) There are two types of talent increasing books. One is Tome of Arcane technique, This is for mages and grants +1 talent, There are 3 for sale. The other is Tome of Physical Technique for warriors/rogues. +1 talent. There are 3 for sale.

There are also attribute increasing books., Tome of the Mortal vessel. +1 attribute point
Tome of the Greater Mortal Vessel +2 attribute points
I forget how many of those are for sell 3 or 4 altogether. Any class may use those.
(Collector's edition) Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes +3 attribute points

Tome of Skill and Sundry is +1 skill point. There's 2 or 3 for sale.
(Pre-order) Formari Tome also +1 skill point.

I don't know what you may get from quests.

There are also 2 skill books as well. But I only saw one copy of those. And a couple of Attribute books. One that does +2

I have to say, though I rarely buy game guides, Im seriously thinking about getting one for this game. The talent point spred is sooo tight. The difference between having 22 and 25 or 26 talent points is huge character wise.

Nice catch. It's not in any vendor lists. Must be a quest reward or loot somewhere.

*nod* Not sure. The question is are we limited to one reading each or not?

And you caught that there were 3 each instead of two. Thats a significant difference if readings are unlimited. Image IPB

I can't say for sure obviously but I'd be shocked if you couldn't.
