Most Hawkes have been fighting to save Kirkwall this entire time. Why does Sebastian suddenly get a pass when he threatens razing the city?

And right now I'm doing a religious fanatic playthrough, and I can't tell Bethany why mages should belong in the circle.

Or have one's head ripped off to be used as an overpriced chamberpot, but good sentiment all the same

Maker I love these dialogues that put Fenris in his place. I'd also like to tell him that if these mages do rise up to create another Imperium, it'll be because hateful, belligerent scum like him made peaceful co-existence impossible.
Thanks, I aim to please. Besides, it's always fun to tear Byronic "heroes" a new one.

Hawke: What the **** is wrong with you? (HawkePunch Fenris in the mouth)
Quoted for truth.

Fenris: I'm not sorry that she's dead. I'm sorry that she died for you.
Hawke: You know what Fenris, lets go get a drink at the hanged man.... honest just one little drink.
-the next morning-
Fenris: where am I? -finds himself cuddling Anders- HAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWKEEEE!
------
Sebatsian: You must kill him, he killed an innocent woman!
Hawke: Varric, how many innocent people have I killed?
Varric: Well, there was the guy the mercenary company had you kill, then that dwarf who paid you to protect him... are we counting the werewolf?
Hawke: yeah, the werewolf.
Varric: Also it could be argued that those templars were just doing their jobs some of those times also the Dalish depending on how you look at it, so quite a few.
Hawke: You forgot one, Varric.
Varric: Did I?
Hawke: -murder knifes sebastian- yeah, the ****y little prince who commanded me to kill someone.
All very nice options. Man, the creativity is really flowing here, this is awesome!

I really wanted the option to tell off both Anders and Fenris every time they were mean to Merrill.
Absolutely!
Fenris: I'm not sorry that she's dead. I'm sorry that she died for you.
(Hawke proceeds to punch Fenris in the face then knee him in the crotch, effectively silencing him)
Hawke: You shut your damn mouth, Fenris. You shut your mouth and don't open it again until I tell you. Merrill's in enough pain right now, and we don't need to add to it. We are going to support her, all of us, the same way we supported you when Danarius came. And you will too, or I'll have Aveline bring the city guard to your door and toss you out. Clear?
Sebastian: I do not have hubris enough to think it matters to the common folk who rules them! The crops will still be planted, people will live and die. Someone will be there to take the reins.
Hawke: Yes, Sebastian, someone will be there to take the reins, but it might not always be someone who deserves to. Bad rulers feed on that kind of apathy, Sebastian, when people forget their responsibilities and believe that they are powerless, it allows tyrants free rein. It certainly matters when the man who rules uses his power for his own private demands and neglects the common good. It certainly matters when his.lands decay and crumble because he can't be bothered to carry out his responsibilities. It certainly matters when he acts without considering the consequences, and uses his power to silence all dissent.
As I understand it, your family became the rulers of Starkhaven because they knew it mattered who ruled them, and that the oppression of Ironfist had to be opposed. Are you going to allow your city to rot under your cousin's thumb just because you don't want the responsibility? The people aren't as dumb as they might seem, Sebastian, and if the men pulling your cousin's strings don't have their best interests at heart, then Starkhaven will suffer.

This.
Also, I'd have liked the option to pimp-cane Cullen upside the head with my big glowy mage staff when he told my mage Hawke that mages aren't people like you and me.
I also wish there had been the option to publically humiliate Carver by randomly giving him atomic wedgies, or telling every girl he flirts with that he still can't sleep at night without his fuzzy animal blankey that mommy knitted for him when he was 5.
Other things I wish I could have said/done:
B*tch slap Meredith, Elthina, and Orsino publically at the opening of Act 3.
The option to simutaneously b*tch slap and bro-fist Anders when the Chantry went boom.
The option to sit around at Gameln's house and get drunk with him.
The opportunity, if I wished, to sell out or betray my companions for fun and signifgant profit.

I'd find that feature alone will have increased DA2's replayabaility factor by about 10.

Hawke: I am offering to help you and the offer was genuine, but like most of the people in this camp, you can't find the common decency needed for minimal levels of politeness. I have offered you no threat or insult and have even offered help, yet everyone here seems to take great pleasure in making as many thinly veiled threats of violence as they can. You are nothing more than a hateful little man who is bitter over events that took place centuries before you were ever born and you wish to blame today's humans for those same injustices, none of which they committed. It's not enough for you to know your history; you live it and repeat it, ON PURPOSE. There is a reason the Dalish have not had a homeland in 300 years. It's not because the shems don't want you to have one. It's because you're not worthy of one.

Love it.
More Ilen stupidity.
Ilen: Blah Blah Dalish Whine Blah Blah
Hawke: Well I've killed one big dragon, several smaller dragons, and a full score of dragonlings. 3 abominations, 2 desire demons, and about a dozen Shades. I've also killed an Ogre and however many darkspawn stood between me and Kirkwall. Can any of your hunters claim the same?
Ilen: [Pause] No.
Hawke: Well then perhaps you'd like to sit down, tell me where I can get some Ironbark, and enjoy that delicious serving of humble pie you bigotted little half-wit.
______________________________________________________________________
Hawke: I'm going to kill you now.
Petrice: Perhaps, you might even be able to best my bodyguard, but I'll not allow you the opportunity.
Hawke: I wasn't asking permission. [murder knife]

Actually, you can do that to all of them. Fenris and Isabela are obvious, then there's betraying Merrill by not giving her the arulin'holm, and trying to sell out Anders... I guess Varric is immune. The opportunity, if I wished, to sell out or betray my companions for fun and signifgant profit.

Yeah, but you only get 5 gold for Fenris, and I don't think you get anything cool for isabella, other then making the Qunari go away. I was thinking more substantial, useful rewards. You get zilch for trying to shop Anders.
