Hawke: Fantasy novels!

Good one Turkey!

To tell Sister Nightengale "Meredith is off her rocker, tell the Divine get her the hell out of here and into a nice padded retirement before she ignites Kirkwall!"

Act 3
Hawke: Hey Orsino, I found this letter in Quentin's place. Someone in the circle was smuggling him books for his research. The letter was signed by "O."

That's just one more thing in an entire quest chain / story arc that Hawke is never given the option of following up on.

Sebastian: If I was in the Chantry would you be waffling?
Hawke: No, I'd be celebrating.

Hawke: howe? wasn´t it your Family that murdered the hero of fereldens family the couslands?

Nathaniel: Apperantly i cannot escape my fathers evil actions anywhere

Nathaniel: My father did that all himself because he was a stupid selfish man. I didn´t know that at the time and i blamed the hero of ferelden for that because he killed my father in denerim and i swore to avenge my fathers death!

Anders: The most ironic thing is that Nathaniel and the hero of ferelden are actually good friends now

When talking to Alistair about the Fereldans in Kirkwall
Alistair: They are welcome to return of course, as are you should you wish.

Hawke: Yes, sweet Maker yes, when can we leave.
Later at the docks
Hawke: You guys are welcome to come too you know.

Aveline:
It's not that easy Hawke, we've lived here for 6 years, this is our home.

Hawke:
Aveline it's a vile cesspool dripping crazy from every orifice, can you honestly tell me you want to stay here?

Aveline:
Yes Hawke.  We won't stop you from going if it's what you really want, but we're staying here, someone has to take care of the city when it's Champion abandons it.

Hawke:
Nice try Aveline but you're not going to guilt me into staying.

Aveline:
No guilt Hawke, you've done your part for the city, more than your part if I'm perfectly honest, enjoy Fereldan.

Hawke:
It's not going to work Aveline, I'm going.

Aveline:
I know, good bye Hawke.

As Hawke stands on the docks watching the boat sail away.
Hawke: I hate you so much right now.

Aveline:
I know, come on drinks at the Hanged Man, my treat.

Act 2 after Ella, tell him to go away and he'll leave. He comes back for the finale, though.

Like a damn cockroach.

Just another example of how DA2 has your PC along for the ride, and no matter what you do, the story is going to play itself out to the predetermined end.  At least in DA:O, your PC either took out the archdemon or failed, you choose or at least influenced who would be on the throne, etc.

You know what else really pissed me off about DA2?  Everyone around Hawke being blindly  unaware if Hawke happens to be a blood mage...

Oh, sorry, did you say something?  I guess I missed the mod tag by your name.

Right because it takes being a mod to have the maturity and common sense to tell you to stick to the topic instead of crying about things nobody cares about amirite?

If it weren't for things someone claimed no one cared about, there'd be no BSN forums.

Sebastian: [goes on about killing Anders after Hawke tells him to get lost]
Hawke: Then bloody do it! Do whatever you want! Kill him if you're so set on it! I don't care. I have a damn city full of mages to save!

[Hawke walks off and leaves the both of them]

~

Bethany: We're not running away again.
Hawke: For the love of the Maker, Beth. You're not forcing anyone in this family into anything. We were running every six months for years before you were even born to protect Father, and we did it happily, because we loved him. Just like we do for you. It's our choice to protect you, and frankly I don't even care about living in one boring place for several boring years at a time or having some silly noble title, you're not costing me anything at all. So seriously, quit it with the guilt already. It's not healthy.

Act 3 Hanged Man
NPC 1: "I hear the champion uses the Arishok's skull as a gravy boat."
Sarcastic Hawke: "What did you just say?"
NPC 2: "Don't mind him, he believes anything you tell him."
Sarcastic Hawke: "I'm insulted that you think I would use it in such a way. "
NPC 1: "Sorry champion, I just heard..."
SH: interrupting "I use it as a chamber pot actually."
NPC1: "Uh...really?"
SH: "Of course! I always thought he was full of crap anyway."

I heard this recently and thought that my Hawke would say something to him...

@Ryzaki,  I completely agree.

Also probably "Stop putting words in my mouth!"
I notice on my replay that when Hawke and Aveline go to get the criminals from the Arishok, he says "let's see your dangerous criminals". Meanwhile, that Dalish woman on Zevran's quest says "not what you'd expect from a cruel and evil murder, is it?".

Hawke never said 'dangerous' or 'cruel evil murderer'! Putting words into her mouth does not validate your point. Posted Image

I would like to have the choice not telling Cullen about the blood magic involved with the missing templars and not telling in what condition we found Keran, so he could become a knight, instead my Hawke run straight to Cullen and spilled everything out - and she was a mage for gods sake!
To be able to talk Orsino down from using blood magic.
To get the damned Qunari book from Isabella and give it to the Arishok and not having to befriend the pirate beforehand

That reminded me of what I wanted to say to Fenris in Alone:

  • Fenris: You heard what Varania said. I wanted these. I fought for them. I feel unclean, like this magic is not only etched into my skin, but has stained my soul
  • Hawke: Fenris, you couldn't be more right and more wrong.
  • Fenris: Oh?
  • Hawke: Your sister's a mage, which means that magic runs in her blood. In your blood. Somewhere in your past you had an ancestor that was a mage. And more than likely it's that mage blood that is inside your body that kept you alive through the ritual that gave you those markings.
  • Fenris: And led me to become a slave to a Magister. What's your point?
  • Hawke: My point is that if you had never had a mage in your bloodline, you might have died in that ritual. Your family would probably go back to being slaves to Danarius. But even worse, it wouldn't have led you to meeting us. The mage blood in your veins allowed you to meet us and have friends. We're your friends, no matter what you might think.
  • Fenris: There's... something to that Hawke. Thank you. Maybe it's time I stop blaming magic on the whole and start blaming the individual mages who abuse their power.
  • Hawke: There ya go. Now, let's get you a pint!

Sebastian: You must kill Anders for this.

Hawke: You don't exactly look helpless. You do it. I'm a little bit busy right now trying to save what's left of the mages in this city from a madwoman, my sister among them. I don't have time to settle any purse-swinging contests between you two.

Bethany: We're not running away again.
Hawke: Bethany, we've always been on the run, and I don't mind it.

Bethany: But don't you ever wonder what it would be like to have a normal life? Get married, have children, settle down?

Hawke: Sometimes, I've thought about it idly. But truth is, I can't imagine not living the way we do. We've always run to protect our father, because we loved him. You're my sister, and I love you as well. I have made my choice, and I do not regret it in the slightest, because it's the right thing to do. In many ways, I'm fortunate. A lot of people go through life never knowing for sure if their life meant anything or if they did the right thing. I don't have that problem. I have never had to doubt that I was doing the right thing.

On siding with Janeka
Hawke: You try to bind Corypheus, if you fail, we kill him.

Not the idiotic dialogue that starts with Hawke calling Larry a madman. That dialogue made me look like a fool.
