We like to play as Femshep in the game, and Bioware give us the opportunity to show our love to our protagonist, so what's the big deal?

do you have any idea how many people didn't buy the game, becasue they didn't realize that you can customize your character, let alone play as a female?  bioware finaly did.  this is why they used female hawke in marketing along side with iconing male hawke.  and that's why they are finaly openly marketing femshep.  to broaden the audience.

exposure for both shepards matters.  letting people know that they have different choices matters.  as for default models?  I'ds say its only fair that femshe gets redesign.  original default wasput together in character creator and not very thoughtfuly at that.  now she gets her own unique model, just like sheploo.  equality for all - aint that nice?

They just want to show that you can have more that just one Shepard. It's not just a trailer for Female Shepards. It's a trailer for customizing your character to whomever you want.

Really femshep has a trailer. Big whoop. For every trailer she gets there's a chance dude Shep'll get at least 4. Not that big of a deal. Don't understand why Sheploo fans are acting like the world is ending.

then whats stopping people who have only seen the female Shepard from
thinking there is no male option? That's no reason to do it either and
if someone didn't buy the game, because they couldn't do the 15secs of
research it takes on this information tidal wave called the internet, I
question their intelligence. I'm not saying the trailer shouldn't be
done, its a bad idea or anything of the sort, I'm simply saying I don't
see the fascination. Is this the standard internet practice of people
seeking validation?

And the whole showing you customize Shepard, they could do that with only a male Shepard, that's no reason either.

 Ok, I'm just going to say this once, though I shouldn't have to, especially since it's probably been said hundreds of times before.  

Anyone who thinks that they're just going to dump Sheploo because they decided to make an "improved" version of FemShep, just wow.  I don't know how to describe your level of ignorance.  Not only have they said countless times that BOTH, as in MALE and FEMALE, would be featured on the CE, but it would be a reversable cover and whatnot.  It's a choice.  Hi, yeah, a choice.  Remember what that means, people?  We're on a social networking site for a company that makes games that revolve around the choices you make.  That includes the gender of the character you play as.  So, I guess you guys were those kids in elementary school that just didn't pay attention on the day the explained what choices were, and how everyone is entitled to their own and their own opinion.  Sad, I've been seeing a lot of those lately.  Internet, you really bring out the worst in people, especially 'round these parts.

I could get into a bunch of garbage about comparing this to that one tool that Gaider chewed out a while back about the S/S romances, but that's another rant entirely.

Huh. I'm more pissed that they haven't shown you don't have to use Sheploo/default FemShep face despite the fact that less than 20% of people use the default faces anyway.

Exactly! They are letting us choice the FemShep we want to see for the trailer. The ONLY thing that FemShep has over Sheploo is we didn't get to pick what he looked like. We are getting ONE trailer and ONE side of a box that you will only see on the Collector's Edition that only the super fans who love and been following this game will be getting. So please for ONCE be happy for us for all the hard work we have put into getting Bioware to recognize our favorite character. I only posted the vote so that everyone could get the chance to see her and vote on her. Not to start a flame war about poor Sheploo getting slightly less attention then he has for the past 6 years.

Not everyone do "research" on internet to buy a game.
I didn't. When I bought the first ME, I had no idea that players could chose the gender and customize their character till I played the game.

So please, there's no excuse for act like an @ss for this matter...Like many of us said, Sheploo is there too...FemShep is not stealing his love or anything like that for having a picture on a box and a trailer.

Looks like you have no idea on Marketing, people judge on a product mainly from what they see in the first 10 seconds, if the trailer or whatsoever don't get their attention, they WILL NOT spend like 5 mins to do the so called internet searching about it.....

I suppose you have David's twitter, eh? Go ask him how hard to capture new potential customer's attention on making a marketing material....

Let me give you more hints, now go watch all the trailers they make and pay attention for the first 10 seconds of each, and you will see what I am talking about....
