The default readhead FemShep from ME1 & ME2? She wasn't modeled after anyone. Her face was made in the standard face editor and it well, kinda shows:



The quality difference is highly noticeable.

Naw, he has a great voice and acts MaleShep well. But he doesn't have the jawline of justice and he doesn't have the save the galaxy feel to him. We all have our own beliefs as to what we see attractive, I realize that, but Mark Meer *IMO* doesn't come close to Sheploo.

It's not very hard. I'm male but I nearly always play femshep, you just have to stop thinking of Shepard as yourself, but a main protagonist in your personal epic scifi story.

I'm not sure what to make of your comment. You are not Shepard, no matter what gender you are. Have you kicked lots of people from the top of a building recently? Shepard is a character you create and play with in the ME series.

It is simple from this perspective :happy:  But apart from the ass factor, I just can't identify myself with a female Shepard...there must be something you share with you character to properly enjoy the game...what do straight guys find in common with female characters....I can't fathom... :happy:

Well for one I don't go with the saying "men are from mars and women from venus". I think gender plays a too big part in our society. Women can be just as badass and cool as men, and that's what I find refreshing in the ME games; the galaxy-saving hero can be female instead of a stereotypical malehero that we have seen a hundred times over.

It's not harder to emphasize with a female character than with a male character. I don't feel the need to "live" as Shepard in the games.

Actually, I am probably one of those guys who have no problem with playing my own gender
(which is supposedly "gay", but whatever)

However, I don't mind being distracted by a nice looking rear (Tomb Raider for example:wub:).

Just because you play your own gender does not make you gay. And more than half the time his butt is below the screen and you are too busy fighting to even realize his butt. If it is second nature to stare at peoples butts and your own pixel characters, then something is wrong.

I am gay myself. So playing as Sheploo is of course my first choice.  And I admit I give some attention to his butt because it is hot... But if a butt keeps you from playing your own gender... then get real. lol!

And ManSheps voice i better than FemSheps voice anyway imo.

Well I usually play as manshep myself. I don't consider playing as your own gender as gay(in most other games you don't have a choice but to play as a man). I play manshep because I find it easier to get myself into the game as a male character and I want to romance a female (specially Tali ).
But if you are male, play as female and romance men I think thats kind of gay.
