Will you be sad to see Commander Shepard go?

It's certainly a bittersweet notion. Letting the character go out on
top (I hope) is a fitting end, but I will miss my femShep.

Not really, if Mass Effect 3 is the great conclusion I'm hoping for, then the triologie has earned it's rightful place on my harddisk, forever.
This right was only granted for the BG troilogie so far.
It's a great honor. ^_^

It will be so bittersweet, i've never been so attached to a character ever before. If ME3 is as good as i hope then it will stay on my computer for a very very very long time

I always feel that way when I'm playing RPGs, but it hits me in a whole different level with games like Mass Effect where you can customize your character beyond the superficial level. I've grown quite attached to my Shepard as well. It will be sad to see her go, but she will be remembered... again and again through multiple playthroughs. xD

I love both Sheps. FemShep is my canon Shep and my main Shep through all 32ish playthroughs of Me1/2, but I still like my MaleSheps and have recently started a new, full on paragon playthrough.

This is Solomon Shepard, my Spacer/War Hero who loves Liara, wants little blue children, and would like for the galaxy to just play nice for once.

Femshep has not only grown very attach to me, and from what she 'actually bring into my life' is so unexpected.
The least I can say is my world has changed because I 'met' her.

She will live inside of me till the end :)

Not really, if the ending is good, fond memories. There's always the games to go back to for a trip down memory lane. In the end, I'll only have one thing to say ...

It's been an honor to serve with you, Shepard.  Posted Image

Yes.  In one form or another, she's been a part of my life for nearly a decade, now.  However... all I have to do is put the disk back in and fire up the 360.

As the post above me said, however, it's been an honor to serve with her.

This.  I'll be sad to see the trilogy end, but I can always play it again and Bioware has really never left me hanging for awesome PCs (though Shepard sets the bar pretty high).

The only way I'll be really sad about it is if Shep's story ends badly, like if it's completely unavoidable for her or her LI to die.  I don't mind those options being present, especially in a Virmire-like situation where you have a choice, but if Shepard is left with a depressing ending no matter what I do, I will actually be sad.  Otherwise, I will give her a salute and be happy that maybe she can have a nice retirement.

If all I get is a sad ending after all this, I'm selling my disks. I wouldn't be able to replay it.

if her story ends well, i'll be happy to let her retire.

if there is death for her, her LI, or if there is the space equivalent of demon babies or kaidn blowing up the chantry, i will cry.

I probadly will be sad...especially considering I'll be playing the game and minumum of 8 times( 3 on PS3, 5 maybe 6 pc characters) on both the pc n PS3( the console version, I have all the dlc for...the pc will only have certain quest DLCs).

As excited as I am to see how this ends, I'll be a bit sad knowing this is the last time we get to see these wonderful characters. And thats not just commander shepard. Mass Effect got the best developed characters I ever seen in a video game. I just hope there is the possiblility of a happy ending. Bioware better not screw this up!

I'll be a bit sad, but she'll go on living in my head having more adventures unseen by the entire galaxy.

I'll be glad to start up a new story with a new character. Always am.

Depends on what comes next. If we get an Mass Effect Galaxy game or something, where I can finally play as a CC turian, asari, or quarian, I'll probably feel bad for Shepard but I'll definitely be looking ahead.

Im going to be an emotional wreck im sure no matter the end!!   :crying:

Although the amount of emotion flowing through me will heavily be based on what happens to her at the precipice.

ME1 was an awe inspiring finally!  ME2 ending left me feeling confused rather then emotional.  Damn Terminator! Really Bioware?!    ME3 has to eclipse ME1!  No way can it be worse then 2!!  :P  ^_^

As long as I can still play ME1, ME2, and ME3, Commander Shepard isn't going anywhere. Just like Darth Revan was in my living room last week, right after Auron stopped by to help fight off a Zu, and Jaden Korr learned a few lightsaber tricks, and John Marsten finally got around to roping that one horse. Kos-Mos is waiting for some attention, but my dance card is full until I figure out the whole thing going on between Monkey and Trip, and deal with all of the new releases later this year.

Good games never die. They just let you rest up.

This I agree with to the nth degree.

I've never put as many hours into a game as I have playing the Mass Effect.  Over 1000 hours and I see that many hours being put in after getting ME3.
