I don't what the hell lineart is and I think the shadows looks reasonable. I actually really like the choice background. The dark red colour of it coupled with Shepard's expression gives the sense of determination in the face od danger/destruction.

If it is, what I think lineart means. Then it's probably the thing I like most about the picture.
A clean drawing is 'nice', but in general I like it more fierce and dynamic. I don't know how to write this in english.
Sometimes it makes the picture more alive. If that makes any sence.... or I better go to bed.

How do you view the status of Shepard's father? We know Hannah Shepard is alive and kicking but what about Shepard's dad? Is he dead? Or still alive and married to Hannah, or perhaps divorced.

I usually viewed him as dead or "dead" since no blip was ever leaked about daddy. So he's either KIA, LIS or LTALT (1-night or few night's stand with mommy or simply the relationship just didn't work out and she kept mum about his existence). Doubt daddy has any important role in ME3.

I think he's dead.  Or that is how I'm RP.  Leia Shepard is a spacer.

He's alive and still married to Hannah.  Shepard's parents knew what they were getting into when they got together.  So while being stationed on different ships makes things difficult, they make it work.  As far as Shepard's relationship with her parents, it's good despite Hannah's distant sounding voice when we hear it.  They're close.
