Well, I have ambient occlusion enabled, 8xMSAA+4xTrSSAA, trilinear filtering + 16xAF and numerous smaller tweaks. It does look pretty good. I haven't got the slightest idea why there are so many washed out looking screenshots... Chrom sumbsampling will do some damage in jpg (I don't use it) but I guess that some adjust the in game gamma because they have really badly calibrated display.

Can I achieve that with a Nvidia 260 GTX?  I really like that resolution.

You can but the performance might be an issue. For me it's not an issue, though I have GTX 570 overclocked to 810MHz/1620MHz/4020MHz (GPU, shaders, memory) and i7 2600K @ 4.2 GHz. I play @ 1080p.

Yeah, a GTX 570 would let ME1 run in uber-pretty mode (I wish I could afford half that card, where do you get that kind of moneyz? ).

This is what I have running on my 450 GTS and Phenom II @ 3.2Ghz. I might be able to push it farther, but I go nuts if I lose fps.

I'm sorry.  That's in reference to schooling here in the States.  What's education like over there.  Here we get the chance to skate by.

That's an understatement. My senior year in highschool I think I did about 10 hours of homework total.

Some have to work less, some more. If you don't know your stuff, then you will fail in tests. I'd say that our education system is one of the best if not the best in whole world.

But anyway, there has been a lot of talk today in news about Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I can't say that I would be overly exited about standard CTF and DM modes... I bet you wouldn't be using Shepard either.
