Hi, I've encountered a problem after I downloaded some new DLC for mass effect 2 (Shadow Broker, Aegis Pack, Firepower Pack and Alternate Appearance Pack for Grunt etc.).  I downloaded all this and installed it no problem.  I activated it and loaded a save game to make sure it worked - it did.  I restarted the game and then I recieved a notification that the Kasumi and Overlord packs I installed a while back were not activated.  Now any saved game where I have done these quests will not load.  I was able to load a game save before these quests were completed and they no longer show up on the galaxy map.  All the other DLC seems to be there except for these two.  One other thing I noticed: On the load game screen there were a few files that were titled 'unknown' thrown in with my usual saves.  The screen that would be dispayed when I clicked on it looked like a planetscape from the first Mass Effect (which I own).  One more thing I installed the latest patch as well.

How can I recover the missing DLC packs?

system specs:
Windows Vista 64bit
Intel Quad Core 2.83 ghz
4 gigs DDR3 1333 mhz
HD 5870

If you deleted them off your computer then redownload them and then reinstall them. Have you tried that yet?? That is the most basic way to start. Other than that you will need to see if they have the folders in your game install folder and the dlc folder in it. But I would start with reinstalling the ones that are missing to see if the simple fix works.

Thanks for responding. I believe the problem has something to do with downloading and activating the Kasumi and Overlord on a different EA profile. Of course I have since lost that login info or changed/updated that profile to what it is now, don't remember which (I did the original downloads months ago). Now it is a matter of seeing if I can transfer the old DLC to my new profile. The strange thing is I can still see the free content I got with the promo code way back when on the old profile in my registered game content, along with today's downloads. I will contact EA to see if they can help me out with my profile settings. I will update as soon as I get some more info.

Alright, problem is fixed. EA provided the help I needed to get the DLC working on the new profile.
