threesomes are good for really only three things:
number one: if no1 is really involved and its just sex between friends or whatever then sure. why the hell not?

two: if its your swinging lifestyle and swapping partners and attending sex parties then cool, that's your thing. this is an alternative lifestyle however and not many people choose it, thus why i put it in a category by itself. it doesnt mean you dont love your partner any less, the two of you just have a differnt view on sex than most other couples.

three: this is the tricky one, when love is involved and the relationship is one of monogamy then there's a real chance of creating jealousy or resentment in the relationship if another person is brought in to bed with yah. dao does a great job of demonstrating this in da2 with isabella, hawke, and that elf guy whose name escapes me. if hawke is secure enough in his relationship with her then letting her have some fun then who is he to deny her that. if however he feels insecure or simply doesn't want their relationship to include other sexual partners then no. doing going along with that just for her benefit would be a mistake.

as for dictating shepard?  we have a lot of leeway of how to customize our Shepards, but there are still a lot of limitations.  there have to be in order to allow for story progression.  Shepard cannot be a complete blank slate. you can fill in some of the blanks in your headcanon, but when I say that Shepard is not Geralt, what I mean is that Mass Effect is not populated by magical creatures who all crave to be on his little collection of pictures with no strings attached. not even consort, or Kelly.  the most you can do with current LI's is serial monogamy.  and unfortunately its probably too much to hope for, for all that breaking of hearts to be dealt with in ME3.

How are you supposed to know who to go after?  If you spend too much time on a single person is it considered creepy?  Is everyone involved in the orgy prepared to indulge in all genders?  Can you involve your fetishes are should all things be kept as vanilla as possible?
