The direct opposite of the previous thread "Screw this game", this thread is about the moments of triumph in your game of choice, the ones that made you go "YUS!" or whatever fits.

Image IPB

My personal choice would be conquering the fiery god of burniness himself, Ragnaros. Back in ole' Vanilla before the molten core patch, pretty much the biggest boss you'd have would be Onyxia - as nice as that was for a starting fight, ragnaros was worlds more intimidating when he rose up from the boiling pit of lava below. Just watching the swirling vortex of flame was a sight to behold.

Fighting him(at least at the time) was a major step up in difficulty for everyone - fire resistance gear was a must and the it took quite some time before my guild way back in the day managed to bring him down. It was almost beautiful to see the firey lord explode, leaving only his blazing hammer left for hunters to ninja loot in his wake. I'll probably never go back to WoW, but I don't regret it a bit for that moment alone.

The awesomeness of the train sequence in Uncharted 2 comes to mind. I just replayed that part my second time around today. Epic feels too weak a word to describe it.
Also finishing God Of War 3.
Dominating a game of TF2 with the spy hmmmmm.
getting a flawless victory and then accidently doing Shang Tsungs babality without knowing the code at all haha awesome!
successfully pulling off a throw move on opponent off of ladder onto a table or something just as hard to pull off in SvR 2011
causing a huge car pileup in a busy road just as my car is about to explode causing a chain reaction of people catching on fire and blowing up cars GTA IV!
Getting past a boss in Demon's Souls!

So this topic is about the most perfect (better to say interesting) protagonist or antagonist in video games?

No we have enough of those.  Its that perfect moment in a game that made you flat out love it.  The best moment of that game as it were.

Finishing TW2 and learning the combat in general.

Dominating LAN games as an Alien in the original Aliens vs. Predator.

Recently, getting Guardian titles of Elona and Cantha in Guild Wars. I only use my Ranger and 7 heroes. I was baffeled by how easily I beat Eternal Grove and Dzagonur Bastion. Only have 4 missions of Tyria to go and 3 bonuses I messed up. Then I'm off to dungeons and elite areas.

There are a lot of other moments too, sure, but they are far too many to name.

Winning by building and subsequently defending a Wonder in an epic 3v3 Age of Empires 2 LAN game.

It has become such a legendary part of my past that if I don't pass it along to my children, then the friends that I still have that witnessed it will.

Hehe, that is quite legendary.  I miss AoE2 - one of my all time favorite strategy games.  I should go re-install it...or not...have too much other stuff to play!

Not that I would call it a big feat really but I felt quite pleased with myself when I finally managed to defeat TorGal the troll in the de' Arnise Keep in Baldur's Gate II.

It was the first time I played the game and saving the keep was the first quest I took on after talking to Gaelan Bayle.

Fighting the trolls way down to the keep dungeon was hard and the Umber Hulks in the dungeon was a nightmare.

After that though it was time to fight TorGal.

Image IPB

Now I was pretty new to the game so I wasn't smart enough to throw a fireball at him before the conversation started.
I don't think I used any buffs in the first tries either...

So it was a struggle of dying and reloading, dying and reloading which went on for at least an hour but I never gave up.

Can't remember how I finally managed to beat him but I think I managed to pull him away from the other two trolls so he fought my party alone.

I have to say though that I felt mightily pleased with myself once the keep was finally saved.

Earning over 7,000 points in Wanted mode of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
When I beat the bonus boss battle (spoiler: Henekoma) of TWEWY on "Hard"
Whenever I nearly beat 2 level nines teamed up against me in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was amazed with myself, and now that I am more out of practice I know I can't do that again.

21.000 points here :P Just to be fair I must say that I earn 2 medals so it was really something about 11.000 without them :P How I did it ? Simple. Be a medic and have uprade to range and speed of your med kit. If your team play in squads, it is really easy to get hundrets of points in matter of seconds.
Archdemon was not that hard :P But it was good finish for the game.

Mass Effect 1, everything from the start of Virmire to the very end (yes, I played that entire endgame in one fluent session, it was just THAT awesome).

Defeating those five Golems in the GoA DLC on Insanity (damn that's by far the most single difficult thing in the entire franchise, the Harvester is a joke compared to that encounter), I was "Who da BOSS? WHO DA BOSS!?!" for like five minutes thereafter and ditched the Harvy with ease (which did nicely complement said feeling).

Other than that, I have the following moments:

Star Wars: Alliance - Destroying the Corruptor in the very first mission she appears with my Otana (take that you stupid Empire, wuahahaha - then those buggers simply necro'ed it. I spent the entire game destroying that blastet thing every single time I encountered it, only for it to come back. Also, the Battle over Endor qualifies, hell yeah.

Every single thing Sam Fisher says from SC1 to SC4, Conviction is no real Splinter Cell to me ... if you can't do a Pacifist/Shadow Run, it ain't Splinter Cell.

That's what I can think of right now ...

In some NFL game, getting beaten by my Cousin John 17-0. But putting half of his roster into retirement, which was my aim all along....ahh good times, watching his team mates getting carried out on gurrnies. I knew I couldn't win, so I made him pay dearly for his victory.

Helping JR win the Nascar cup, by turning my car around and using it as a battering ram versus my fellow racers. 12 car pile up for the win.

Defeating a hard boss. Or being behind a shotgun or minigun, or in Halo Reach, Running people down and beating the **** out of them with my hammer or sword, more so if its a cowardly snipper. Or taking out enemies that love to charge such as those fast crab heads in HL-2 with a shotgun to the face or a melee weapon. Or breaking down a wall and killing all behind it not on my side. Provided they arn't in the way, if they are, oh well all battles have sacrifices.

Also setting dead bodies up in Chairs in fallout with hats on them or beer bottles. Or just throwing bodies off of the upper levels to let it serve as an example. Or when I fly a plane in Saints Row 2 and not die. That games flying controls arn't so good on the 360.

A battle I won in a "Neverwinter Nights" persistent world. I joined a group of three or four characters for a foray into a dungeon crawling with fire giants and fire elementals. Our characters were all epic level. Everyone else in the party was a powerbuild or had a class better suited to high level play. My character was a pure class elven ranger. On top of that she dual wielded scimitars, which resulted in a further penalty to attack rolls for using two medium size weapons. She had the lowest armor class and was not the best hitter compared to other characters of her level. However, being strength based and taking bane of enemies made her a wrecking ball against certain enemies; such as giants.

In any case, we worked our way through several floors of monsters and reached the throne room. The fire giant leaders were bruisers like their minions, but they both cast a few spells that made them much more formidable. The worst was heal; which one giant would usually cast on the other if her or she was near death.

The party missed the opportunity to kill the fire giant king before he was healed, and before long any order we had in our tactics broke down. One by one the giants killed everyone in my party until only my elf was left. I was determined not to die. So I used up every buffing potion I thought would help, and began digging into my stockpile of healing potions as my elf chopped the fire giant king to pieces.

Since she was so buffed I was able to use power attack and blew through his HP like a hot knife through butter. Then my character cleaved into the queen and began chopping her up. I started running low on heal potions by this point and had to play hit and run with a bow. Finally she started to catch up though, so I had my elf make a final run toward her and just managed to kill the queen before she killed my character.

Afterward I raised everyone with scrolls. There was much rejoicing in-character and out of how awesome that was, and how my character was the fiercest ranger anyone had ever seen. Good times.

Not sure if this fits, but there wasn't any caveat about medium. My biggest "YUS!!!!" moment came in a session of old fashioned tabletop D&D. The party was up against some gianormous ancient evil from some Cthulhu-esque pantheon and it was ready to eviscerate us. My monk/ranger (odd combo, yes) had tied a tree token to a crossbow bolt and shot it into the gaping maw of evil. I made all of my rolls and had the token produce the tree at such an angle that the big bad's skull was pierced. Long story short - it flopped over, the party survived, we looted and beat a hasty departure.

And after that, tokens became mysteriously scarce in any and all marketplaces when it was time to squander our gold.

Actully Seagloom your story reminds me of one like I totally forgot, well a series of related one's. Anyone thats played Runescape knows Revnants are a pain in the ass, and if your unlucky well a huge number of them can appear to attack you. This one time my Friend Jason, me and his Friend who's name I don't remember were ****ing around in the wastes and just killing Zombies for these wood boards for a quest. Anyways I see like 5 Revnants and just go "****" and take off running, lol to which the other dude just takes off and Jason when I pass him goes "Hey Ken why are you running?" "**** **** **** ****!" lol and he takes off running. By then I have only one HP point left. And three Revs on me, and I run right for a group of people who all take off for the safe Zone.

Then with no warning out comes a damn cult group of a level 60,70, and 80, all in matching bronze weapons, Armor, and capes and just start shouting "PILE PILE PILE!" Lol and kill all the Revnants one at a time just like that. Lmao at the end one dude goes "**** dude one HP left you lucky Bastard!" To which I go "**** yeah." Apperantly the Bronze Cult didn't stick around for my thanks and went off to hunt more Revnants.

Another time in the Wilderness, with the same two guys we went off into the snow coverd regions to the West. And I had to take a ******, so I got up and being unable to type and walk at the same time, let my wife take over for me. When I come back apperantly we are in a Church I never knew was there, and they we're mad with me as apperantly we were trapped by 10 Revnants, whats hillarious is the door flew open when I was typing why I wasn't there and they just went "**** CLOSE IT CLOSE IT!" lol To which I did and we waited for a bit till the left, needless to say we never went up there again.

So what was the moments here? My Amusement and Survival.

Three events come to mind straight away:
1. In ME2 when the Normandy is reveiled. It always makes me well up for some reason.

2. When it says "Mass Effect" in the first game, as the Normandy is flying towards the relay. Same effect on me as No. 1.

2. This one is also the most bizarre gaming experience I've ever had so far. It's in Fallout NV, right? You know how the corpses are buggy occasionally and start twitching madly if you "z" move them? I shot a Death claw and he died (or she =P) and began to spasm around the field. I was being chased by a group of them at the time, five or six, I dunno. Every single one of the Deathclaws got stuck in the spasming corpse. I didn't even have the heart (or breath) to kill them, I just walked away (laughing like mad). The best bug ever FTW.

@OP Same here. Conquering a boss after countless time of wiping it's great. Also Yogg-Saron with no guardians. Was awesome and defeating Ymiron and getting the firefight achievement.

Good times.
