Defeating a couple of the bosses on FFX. Damn some of those were hard.

Also, the broodmother.

Just last night was playing as sniper in TF2 using the bow and arrow. Enemy was rushing the control point (my team was defending) headshot kills on 2 heavy's from across the open area in the middle.
Enemy sniper shows up boom headshot. Scout comes around and I shoot headshot on a cloaked spy who just so happened to be in my shot HAHA. The scout tried to kill me but I throw my jarate at him and knife him before he could finish me off.
I'm retreating to a nearby dispenser where a engineer was and at this point I was near death and a pyro was coming up just about to kill me when a teammate spy backstabs him before that. I turn around to see a enemy spy coming behind him and I headshot.
to make a long story short. I survive a good 40 mins with plenty of headshots and some with scouts. Anyone who plays as a bow and arrow sniper knows how hard that is to do.

In general, it would be taking on 7 guys in one CTF match in Quake 3 Arena with my friend and winning. It was back at secondary grammar school and those guys while not being very good, were far from newbies. My friend wasn't that good either so I forced him to defend our flag and went offensive alone. It was pretty intensive in their base since whenever I killed somebody, he just respawned few meters away and eventually, they figured out pretty decent strategy and started catching up with us! ...

After the match, one of the defeated guys came to me and said something like: "Now man, can I shake my hand with you?!" Never felt more proud in my gaming life.B)

As for singleplayer experience... Well it would be my first victory in Mothership map in Unreal Tournament 2004 campaign.

Image IPB

It was an assault mode (destroy something within specific time limit and don't allow enemy to do the same within shorter time) and most of the match consisted from fighting in small and fragile space shuttles. Argh, how I hated piloting them! When I finaly won, I started screaming in my room like crazy.

My top five... starting from least to greatest....

5. Managing to get all my people out of the Collector base alive. Which was epic with all the cutscenes. Image IPB
4. Beating Star Fox 64 in 2 hours. That was a feat. Image IPB
3. Punching the camera lady in ME. Making her finally just shut up and leave me alone felt great. Image IPB
2. Obtaining Recon armor in Halo 3: ODST. That was fun. Image IPB

And # 1 would be...Image IPB
1. 'Mancing Tali. Best thing ever in the history of gaming. Image IPB

Winning a tournament match in SF4. It's very difficult and entails defeating a number of opponents, each one more skilled than the last.

Defeating Liquid Snake atop Metal Gear Rex was my favorite moment of victory. He was a pretty tough opponent, but I got him after the third or fourth try. The whole battle was epic regardless of win or lose.

The Ending of Kotor - My FIRST BioWare game, EVER. - Knights of the Old Republic

Destroying the Collector Base - Mass Effect 2

Beating Baldur's Gate 2 for the first time - Seriously, it was insanely F***ing hard - Baldur's Gate II

The final Companion speech from DA:O - i almost tear up a bit - Dragon Age Origins

Beating Letho at the end game - The Witcher 2

Finally entering an Online match at Mortal Kombat - .... Mortal Kombat (2011)

Finishing Dagoth Ur - TES III Morrowind

Finishing Fallout 1,2 and Planscape Torment without killing anybody - i loved this in video games, now everything has to involve killing.
unless of course not killing anyone was the complete mechanic of the game, in these games you can kill everybody, or nobody.

i guess every single time i beat a hard boss:D (i'm looking at YOU Demon's Souls)

Oooh that too!

Beating my friend 7-0 as Sheffield Wednesday on FIFA11

Defeating the Archdemon in DA:O

and finally finishing all campaigns on expert in L4D1. I'm officially ready for the zombie apocolypse.

21.000 points here :P Just to be fair I must say that I earn 2 medals so it was really something about 11.000 without them :P How I did it ? Simple. Be a medic and have uprade to range and speed of your med kit. If your team play in squads, it is really easy to get hundrets of points in matter of seconds.
Archdemon was not that hard :P But it was good finish for the game.

My 6000 score was without the end score medals and such, with them I think it must have been around 15000 thanks to the amount of Revive and kill assists medals :P. I was playing with a medic for half the round and sniping for the end half. I have a good team I usually play with so we end up getting Gold Squad and if we're lucky someone will get the Ace pin!

The Archdemon was hard for me because Dragon Age Origins was the first RPG I ever finished. Took me three goes before I realised you could use the catapults against it. After that it became much easier lol

Doing a tactical maneuver in a online RTS match that saved the match for me. That was during the days when RTS's didn't have too many things to take into account, when battling. The things that usually mattered were: statses/quantity. Still allowing to lure opponent's far larger force into nice position, before sandwiching him between my two small armies that totally annihilated him.

Mmm...

One of my favorite games of all time to this day is Super Castlevania IV. It was my first Castlevania game and it made feel awesome. You are one man, Simon Belmont, going into Dracula's castle destroy everything that stands in your way. You fight Frankenstein's monster, a mummy, all types of monster, even Death itself on your way to slay Dracula. I went back to play the earlier Castlevanias afterwards and loved them. Castlevania has been one of my favorite franchises since then. I like to play a ton of Castlevania in October, it's kinda like a tradition of mine.

Playing Splatterball when I was younger, so much fun!

The first run through of the suicide mission in ME2 was a really great moment.

Probably the most memorable would be staying up until 2 AM at the end of season 3 playing for the top 3's spot in WoW arena. We lost, but there were so many amazing, high tension moments that night.

The direct opposite of the previous thread "Screw this game", this thread is about the moments of triumph in your game of choice, the ones that made you go "YUS!" or whatever fits.

My personal choice would be conquering the fiery god of burniness himself, Ragnaros. Back in ole' Vanilla before the molten core patch, pretty much the biggest boss you'd have would be Onyxia - as nice as that was for a starting fight, ragnaros was worlds more intimidating when he rose up from the boiling pit of lava below. Just watching the swirling vortex of flame was a sight to behold.

Fighting him(at least at the time) was a major step up in difficulty for everyone - fire resistance gear was a must and the it took quite some time before my guild way back in the day managed to bring him down. It was almost beautiful to see the firey lord explode, leaving only his blazing hammer left for hunters to ninja loot in his wake. I'll probably never go back to WoW, but I don't regret it a bit for that moment alone.

Well...There was this crowning moment of awesome one time...

I was in a net-café and happened to meet a guy I had been aquainted with in 1st grade or something, I remember him being a pompous bastard from that time (or something more child-like). Any way, they were playing CS1.6 and he and the terrorist team kept owning all the other guys in the netcafé on Estate or whatever it's called, big house with a garden basicly. all the CT's had been killed or rage-quit so I sat down at one computer to play against them, it was 5 or 6 vs 1 (well there were more CT's at the start but I joined the game late on a computer where the character had just been standing at the spawn-point) and I started to massacre his team, as I took down his last teammate I noticed that I had only 1 HP left and he was hiding with an AWP (1-shot-kill sniper) behind four hostages in a corridor where I could only enter from one place, I figured I was royally screwed but decided to try anyway, I picked up a Steyr Aug to get a bit of zoom-ability and jumped into the corridor, he fired and missed, I took aim between the legs of 2 of the VIPs and headshotted him. All the guys he and his team had killed before cheered like crazy, I thought it was one hell of a lucky game but, nobody had to know that . I can't tell you how satisfying it was to shut that braggart up like that however, it was incredible.

Well to be fair I had quite a bit of FPS experience being in unbalanced teams, I used to host LAN-parties where 5 of my friends would play against me in Unreal Tournament and I would own them with just the dual pistols, But those guys were mostly only into RTS games.

Here's a tip in Company of Heroes: Try building ONLY artillery-pieces (have an ally go tanks and protect you from the AI) Then use all of them on ONE target, preferably a Tiger or something like that..it's extremely satisfying. Especially on one map where you can blow up the bridges camp the middle whie youbuild up your arty just behind your defences, then without even having line of sight, being able to demolish 2 german bases from your defensive position with 10-15 105mm howitzers.
