I have origins and awakening, apparently the game wants the awakening dvd in and I just spent 10 mins looking for it(it was behind me). How about we get a no cd patch? It would give me back so much free time.

I don't see how this is a bad idea. Just require the account to log in at least once to the BioWare/EA servers, and then allow no CD.

Oh look, I just provided an anti-piracy measure that's technically already in place and wouldn't be too hard to adapt. Though I do own the Steam version, so it's not an issue for me.

But seriously, needing a CD is just tedious. My computer doesn't even have a CD drive, I have to use a portable one.

You used to be able to get the downloadable game from EA (by using your retail key) and installing that allows you to play the game without the DVD in the drive. I don't know if it still works with Origin, but you can always give it a try if it's too much trouble to have the DVD handy.

Origin.

That's why I like downloading games from xbox live whenever they're part of "games on demand". It's always annoying to have to actually get up to put the game in. That takes precious time away from playing Dragon Age. Every second counts.
