I just want to know how to remove and re-install DAO from my PC. I need to do this because I got a Toshiba laptop specially ordered from ToshibaDirect, and I was sent an email telling me the following, and I quote:
Dear Valued Toshiba Direct Customer:
Recently you purchased a Configured Build to Order Satellite P770. It
has come to our attention that you may be experiencing issues with the
way they system is recognizing the partitions on your hard drive which
will make your system appear to have a smaller
hard drive then what is actually installed.
To correct this partitioning of the hard drive, we have attached
instructions on how to re-set the hard drive to achieve the right
partition information. Please understand that this issue does not
affect the performance of your laptop or require that your
laptop be returned or repaired.
We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. If you
have additional questions or concerns with the re-set process, please
contact Erich Bloodworth at 1-800-877-586-8584 ext. 35213 or via email
at
ebloodwo@toshibadirect.com
Thank you for your purchase!

Thus, all my work will be lost when I do the procedure discribed above, and I am afraid that I may lose all my DLCs. Could someone explain how to safely remove DAO and how to re-install it without losing my DLCs and my game saves. Thanks.
How to remove and reinstall DAO from the same PC?

I recently removed and reinstalled the game on my pc. I just used the control panel - uninstall a program - and did it that way. It gave an option to keep saved games and something else... then I reinstalled the game, logged in to my bioware account in game, and all the DLC's were still installed. I have the Ulitmate Edition. Hope that helps.

Ahh I should read more carefully... its going to re-set your hard drive. I'm not so sure what you'd have to do in that situation.

Yes, the HDD will be wiped out before I install it again. There must be a way to do this without losing game saves and all the DLCs. I do have the Ultima version as well.
