So I've decided to reinstall Dragon Age: Origins, but alas, the installer keeps getting stuck at 45-46% of guiexport.erf, and no matter how long I let it sit and figure it out, it won't complete the installation.
Is it possible to get the game-installer anywhere from Bioware?

I hope what you found works for you. It sounds as though you've been hit by the EA disk failure to work with all DVD burner hardware. You can borrow an external DVD drive, you can copy everything to folders on your hard drive, you can install across your LAN from a PC with an older model DVD drive that only reads the DVDs, or if none of those help, replace the physical copy with a digital copy from the EA store.
