I refer you to the post directly under the Tali sweat one.

They do it with magic biotics.

Yes they reproduce with each other and other races by "melding" which somehow carries genes from the "father" to the "mother".

As for the organs bit... I always assumed it looked more or less human, but blue. What a strange question.

Do you have reproductive organs?

There is no gene carrying. The father does not impart any actual genetic material to create the child.

See? This are BW-enforced massive, monolithic, non-searchable threads at their absolute best. You could search any other mailing list for an answer to your problem but *here* you'll be able to discuss the same insane topic over and over again! Isn't that wonderful?

As for the OP, we won't know until such a time that they release an official, authorised, R-rated tie-in movie (i.e. never).

All creatures that reproduce have reproductive structures of some kind. We pretty much know that asari pregnancy/birth is similar to humans' version of same, so it stands to reason that the asari body is very similar to a human female body, since they perform the same function. And asari are clearly very closely related to humans, what with their overall shape, five-fingered hands and human-like faces. Just because asari conception is different from human conception doesn't mean the process of gestation and birth is fundamentally different. And it's a misconception that asari take on genes from the father organism. Melding with the father organism only allows the asari to randomize a second copy of her own genome, not take on the father's genome. If that were possible, asari children with alien parents would be hybrids. Since they are all 100% asari, it's obvious no genetic material is exchanged. The asari themselves don't seem to agree exactly how the father's genome influences the daughter, if it does at all.

My bad, I would have just linked to the wiki but the Asari page seems to be out of order:

See, this makes the most sense. With both no need for sperm and the fact that they seem to primarily experience 'orgasms' through the mindmeld, a lot of the important bits down there become pointless or redundant.

But then I remind myself that they're space elves so their anatomy will never truly make sense. They exist by the rule of sexy, so they probably have fully human lady parts. :?

Truth. (Unfortunately.) Their biology is already trolling science about as hard as it's possible to, anyway.

I always assumed that they had a structure similiar to the vagina(Can I say that on BSN?) without the heavy bundles of nerve endings or the clitoris.  Pretty much,  just a birth canal for their brain babies.

I don't know if they do. It seems to be a random re-arranging of there genetics in there body. As for how...who knows. They are likely missing several key features in the female reproductive system because there is no male organ to stimulate in the process and since it is a random re-arranging of their genetics by themselves then it is connected to the nervous system in some way. The only thing they likely have that is female is a Uterus (assuming they give live births instead of eggs).

They do, (so, I have been told) but if they get the same sexual pleasure as we do with lack of nervous tissue there in their "parts" , I do not know. o_O I'm assuming they have hormones though to help cover that. ;)

edit: horrible typo's.

If asari reproduction doesn't work anything like human (or mammals in general) they wouldn't have funny bumps mammaries or navels...so it's pretty safe to assume they have organs similiar in function or form:alien:

The breasts and navels are cosmetic only. What happens after a melding is that one of the head tentacles starts growing and finally breaks off (much like a hydra) after a six week 'gestation period.' This 'baby' then enters a pupae phase for eight to ten months, depending on the gravity of the birth planet (or artificial gravity from mass effect fields on spaceships/stations). It then emerges in the asari form we know with the distinct droopy right eye (a genetic trait of most asari, although some genetically/cosmetically remove this). These are what is known as the 'blue babies.'

* All of the above is utter bull****, but a valid hypothesis nevertheless.

I think they would be more gender neutral if that were the case, if their child doesn't inherit anything from the "father" one would think being aesthetically pleasing to each other wouldn't be necessary, unless of course they at one point did reproduce more...conventionally? and the breasts and etc are leftovers like our appendix.
