I'd assume they'd have the female organ, because that's necessary for birth. It seems like the mind meld would release the sperm and eggs into each uteris (or just one). So you could DO human sex, but the sperm would die if they touched an asari egg.

i didn't read all the pages but Liara mentioned asaris having some type of sexual organ downstairs during the shadow broker mission where you are tracking the asari spectre. theres a commercial on the tv with asaris dancing and shep remarks on the hotel name ( cant remeber what it was spelled as) and liara explains it refers to a lower body part (worded as a sexual body part) think its a enough of a hint

yea it was called somethin like that. liara was all bashful about it I'm guessing aliens and asari found another way to stimulate themselves besides melding. Atleast thats what I got from the conversation

While I've always been fairly sure the anatomy works roughly the same, that doesn't mean it looks the same. Asari have tentacles where they should have hair. Think about that for a while.

Love is a strange and many-splendored thing, my friends. There's always a tradeoff. Mind-blowing psychic melding of nervous systems, but on the other hand, you have to get used to whatever might be... different.

And that to me explains why not everyone is into asari to the point where the human race stops breeding with itself.

I loved how femShep about that.  "Where on the asari body?"  Liara's answer is "So did I."  And when Shep does touch that area during the cabin scene her eyes go black rather quickly.
