I tried to say that Shepard's clones would be a nice plot reveal later in-game, but impossible since it would be obvious from the very start.

Okay, I focused too much on technical side and got it wrong.

Who cares about their gender? They're cannon fodder anyway...

Besides they wear helmet+armor, it's not like you could know unless they visually differentiate them.

Oh and also there's a picture of a Cerberus Female assassin running around the forums.

Exactly. In the same roster as male Troopers, we get female Assassins. At least not all of them are Shepard's clones, then.

Nemesis.

I've heard from devs that she's quite annoying in battle.

These squadron leaders carry out high-level instructions laid out by the Illusive Man. How the Illusive Man recruited and trained such a large number of top-line battlefield commanders is a worrying mystery. Cerberus, once comprised of small, covert cells of agents, is now a burgeoning and unconcealed threat to the galaxy. In the face of the immediate Reaper threat, Alliance Intelligence has scuttled their attempts to infiltrate Cerberus to find out how the Illusive Man managed to quickly swell his organization’s ranks.

Well, this confirms that TIM is definitely still in charge of Cerberus. Unfortunately, it still doesn't explain why he's working against Shepard. I guess we'll find out when the game comes out. They seem to be doing a pretty good job of keeping it under wraps. This also seems to disprove the theory that Cerberus is (or ever was) a part of the Alliance. In Evolution, Jack's team is always noted a group of mercenaries. So perhaps Cerberus never was a part of the Alliance; most likely they've just had very close ties since Shanxi.

Considering how great of a character TIM is, I'm disappointed in him going from morally grey to evil Bond villain.

That depends on why they want to get Shepard there might still be a slight chance that you could get Cerberus to help you much later in the game but it's not very likely but might make a good twist if they did it right.

My guess about TIM is that in one of the comics, you can find out that he had contact with a reaper tech that turned creatures into husks, maybe it somewhat turned him,but not completely,so he became half human half husk (or reaper),and he belives (knows) that if humans join reapers they wont be harmed (transformed),he said that he works for advancement of human race, maybe he means that humans must transform into reapers,to advance.

A smart man such as TIM would have a backup plan incase he ever did get indoctrinated. I know I would, always have a plan b if plan a goes wrong.

What if my Shepard's female? Ohh wait, it would be so cool if it turns out that the enemy models are swapped with female alternatives in that case. And it becomes obvious that way.

Soo... I don't think so. Maybe Kai Leng, yeah, or just random clones. Or maybe even batarians, like it was suggested earlier. Since Cerberus is "working" with the Reapers, and by the beginning of ME3 the batarians have been mostly harvested, that's two plus two.

The Cerberus agents we've seen so far have always appeared batarian to me. At least, the helmet appears to have 4 eye slots. I assumed they were batarian until it was announced that they were Cerberus.

Batarians don't have helmets with 4 eye slots because they only require two eyes for depth perception.

Cerberus ( a xenophobic or alien hating organization) hiring batarians as ground troops....yeah, sure.  *facepalm*:pinched:

Like, totally sure. I mean really. I'm really really sure. Like it's gonna happen, and all.

Ok let's do an advanced search, just in case:

"Batarian Cerberus agent".

Results: No matches found.

By the way, the second pair of lights are closer to their mouths, so they can't be batarians.

I dig the Cerberus units and all, but it would be kinda cool if we'd get an update with at least the new Husks or something.

Doubtful. The Illusive Man's ideas appear to be reminiscent of an idea that has resonated throughout human history, ultranationalism. The core concept of these kinds of ideas, and I'll use The Illusive Man's views on humanity as an example, is that what makes humanity special is that they are humanity. It is in the sameway that certain countries who developed these ideas in history would have viewed it. Italians are special because they are italians. The Japanese are special because they are Japanese. So on and so forth.

Turning humanity into Reapers, while it would advance the genetic legacy of humanity, would not really advance humanity in any way that I think the Illusive Man has any interest in. This is primarily because at the cost of doing so, humans would no longer be humans. Historically speaking, you would have never seen WW2-era Italy, Japan, or Germany advocating advancing to the point that they were no longer Italian, Japanese, or German as being part of their national ethnic group was one of their core beliefs. I am of the opinion that The Illusive Man would not work with the Reapers if their goal was to turn humanity into a Reaper.

Most likely for reading data streaming into their helmets, or perhaps a digital image of everything like Shepard's Kestrel helmet

That sounds pretty badass. They could fight Shepard and play a game of Tetris at the same time. I so want to be a Batarian.

Technically, they'd still need 3 or 4 hands to play Tetris and fight Shepard effectively at the same time.

Damn, Phaedon, you're such a downer.

hrm... maybe they have an interface where you could direct the blocks with eye movements? Ah well, at the very least, they could read their email. Batarians still rock. This changes my whole perception of them.

So, everytime they want to swap the shape of a block, they'll have to turn their eyes around their head. Sounds good.

Not very healthy, but good.

Heres my two cents for the updates. There are 7 for each, and there are 6 months till release. And one is no longer classified. Put two and two together...

That depends on what you see as human. Was the Embryonic Terminator not human? It looked like a human and was said to contain 'the essence' of humanity. Above all it should've been the epitome of human evolution - as it was one in it' s being, total unity (this is an idea that always comes up; the idea of melting society together, for example in RL's Schumpeter's work in which he predicts the agglomeration of bureaucracies into some socialist block full with... bureaucratic things - perhaps a nice read with a new crisis looming, but I'm diverting ^.^). Whether or not that's human is debatable.

I agree that it's not likely that Cerberus wants to turn humanity into gooey Reaper ****** and that very likely they're aiming for uplifting humanity through augmentations of some sort - Saren style.

That's apart of the fact whether they're truly advancing the Reaper cause or if it's merely a faulty guess by N7; I'd expect a 'Luke, I'm your father moment'- with this whole Cerberus-Reaper connection - it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Batarians have 4 eyes so that they can read two books at the same time.

Also the Cerberus trooper has 2 lights at the eyes height, the other two lights are at the mouth. So unless they are all mutant batarians, they're not. Not to mention Cerberus hiring batarians would be just ridiculous.

EDIT: On a side note, I hope we get to see more of Tuchanka, I think it would be interesting to visit more locations than just the Urdnot camp.
