Also, if this grenade launcher has a field fabrication kit to build more grenades, can it be modified to build more thermal clips?

Oh yeah, because of the grenades and the laser system. Didn't think of that.

Can any get the background from the weapons page, so we can analyze it without the Falcon in front of it?
I already got it...it's on the first page of this thread at the end of my post...BUT here it is again:

Uh, 25mm grenades? Those are way too big to be believable in an assault rifle that fires things at a fraction of the speed of light or something. The explosions would be huge and it would waste everything.
What makes you think the grenade launcher accelerates things to the same velocity as the normal rounds?

Evidently this weapon must therefore accelerate its projectiles to much slower speeds.

I'm very much intrigued. Perhaps we'll see a carbine in the future? That'd work great for In-Your-Face Vanguard styles, seeing as it'd have the punch of an Assault Rifle combined with maneuverability of a SMG.

And my arm is numb.
Don't think I will ever touch this mini game again.
Edit: Wait - how does that make my score 3553?
DAMMIT! If I'd known I was that close to first spot I would have kept going! GAAH!

Hmm. So we get an AR/Grenade launcher combo? Interesting, very Modern Warfare-esque. Gives better flexibility in squad and battlefield tactics, too. I can easily see myself outfitting Ashley or James with a Falcon to set them up in a Grenadier role similar to that used in current US Military doctrine.

Actually the current thinking of military arms deesign is that the 25mm and 20mm "grenades" will replace bullets, so there will not be a combo rifle grenade launcher. But the 25mm or 20mm rounds should not be considered grenades, rather call them smart ordinance, since there will be many types and they pack more powder in them unlike grenades or shotgun shells. The smart ordinance will come in flovors like HE, cover busters, buckshot, KE (solid FMJ that hits like a ton of bricks), taser rounds, pepper rounds, and many other lethal/non-lethal types. Ideally the weapons that fire these will have 2,3, or even 4 magazine compartments to carry smart ordinance choices.

Points aren't based on how many blocks you've pushed off but includes all those extra things like knocking blocks off in order, making them fly off, etc.

question is if any military in the world has the cash to procure them and all the ammunition variants. like always it's a question of cost vs effect. It's the reason why most unorthodox weapon developments this decade have been complete flunks in spite of INSANE amounts of research funds gone into it.
F22: Cost so much to maintain buildt in such small numbers and fills such a niche role that it will never completely replace the f-15
JSF: most expensive military program in history, has capabilities that will never be of any use against any concievable enemy that NATO will fight today. the variant that does have usefull capabilities will most likely be cancelled.
Land warrior: works and combat tested but cancelled due to cost.
Future combat system: A complete family of new combat vehicles to fill every niche today all fully network integrated, most with working prototypes. All cancelled.
ETC ETC

People, if the Falcon doesn't fire it's projectiles at Mass Effect speeds, how could it do much damage? It would essentially be a weapon we could create today - the defenses in the Mass Effect series are designed to hold up against much more powerful weaponry.
If the grenades use thermal explosives the shields wouldn't do them much good.
