So I am curious as to how the star system was supposed to work. Its very confusing when you find items with the Exact same stats but one has a 2 star and the other has a 4. Does anyone have an Idea as to how this is supposed to work, and do you mainly ignore the stars? Or even the amount of gold needed, another problem I ran accrossed, EX: 2 rings exact same stats, and one ring has a 2 star the other a 4, the one for 4 will go for three times the amount as the 2 star, I mean logic here would suggest the 2 star as a better deal, So why do we have the star system at all?

Badly.
Serious answer: every item has a "level," just like a character level, that determines how strong it's supposed to be. The star system compares the level of the item to the level of the party.
Every item also has a certian number of "properties," like +armor, +regen, +attk, etc.
Some properties, like +attk, +armor, +health, etc, scale with level. So a level 3 item with +attk is going to have a much lower +attk value than that same item would if it were level 20.
Some properties, like +regen, +blood magic, chance to stun, etc, do not scale with level. A ring that grants +stamina regen will always grant the same amount of regen, period. Doesn't matter what level the item is.
The cost of an item, in gold, is dependent on both its level and its properties. So a level 3 +stamina ring will cost less than a level 12 +stamina ring, and have fewer stars, even though they provide exactly the same benefit.
So, yeah. Ignore the stars.

O.I.C. Makes sense now, I didn't know that +regen and blood magic didn't level so that is helpful. I typically keep my blood magic mages in those items so that is very helpful. so got it ignore stars. Why did they add this system in the first place? I mean why not just add better equipment instead of the time it took to name each one with the same stats and different stars? Why not just concentrate that programming effort in something else? LIke all of the "junk" items, a bit bizarre.

It affects the sale price of equipment later in the game. Certain items like Rings of Cantrips have the same effect value regardless of level but will sell/cost more as you level. So planing out your early purchases and "shopping" would be the wisest way to go.
