Yeah... except those are terrible examples of two things that are hardly alike... their not even in the same genre.
Yes, but with guns, in space, with spaceships, and because of the vast diffrences in genre, have very diffrent lore and histories.
but Slayers compared to Legion of the dead has suicidle dwarfs, with axes, tatoos, in a fantasy setting, defending a dying race, fighting for lost honor, fighting underground, in smaller groups, and already considered dead.

played warhammer, lore is nothing alike. nice try.
Hmmm... don't even know HOW to respond to this one. If you say their nothing alike... then no offense your plain wrong. Like saying Wolverine isn't like Lobo at all.
HOW much their alike and if it's fair to say they were ripped off is very much open to debate though.

Hardly anything is purely "original" these days. You sure as hell don't want to re-invent the wheel, but adding spikes and chains on it, increasing it's size a good bit, and running over some good 'ol gnome children sure makes it look "new" to me.
The reason why hardly anyone gives you what you're begging for, here (which is a long and drawn out response to defend a game that we're all playing), is because IT DOESN'T MATTER!
How 'bout them apples! HAR!
Seriously. And the reasons why most of the answers are generalized, would be because most of the "sources" (as it were) have been around a good long time. Who "invented" the concept of dragons? See? Nobody knows, but just about every culture that has ever existed has had some form of monstrous fire/acid/lightning/soul eating lizard beast with (or without wings) who people either worshiped/feared. Dwarves, at least in most settings, have always been a highly honorable people with a distinct, and often wavering, hierarchy. Dishonored dwarves have for (as far as we can go back) shaved their beards to mark themselves as dishonorable, gone on "soul searching" quests, etc.
Anyway, I would worry less about what you're worrying about, and worry more about that beardless suicidal dwarven man-lovin' machine who's sneaking up behind you right now!

FYI..Slayers are NOT unique to Warhammer and existed before Warhammer. If you were a little older you might know this. However you fit the stereotype of all youth today thinking you know it all.

I love this guys topics. Everything he posts is either about this game ripping off something else or how bad the game is. I am curious how much he is getting paid to type this crap out.

Whoa whoa whoa... wtf... is someone else using my IP? Cause, I'm pretty damn sure I love this game, defend this game, and try to help out anyone who has a problem with it or who has any doubts. A LONG time ago, we're talking summer here, I came up with a thread that said it was copieing to much off the Witcher, and was promplty and fairly b*** slapped. Thats about the last time I said anything like that to now...
And I'm hardly declaring I know it all... infact I said my opinion on this is fairly easy to sway... thought it would be an intresting topic... guess I thought wrong!

They're minor characters to anything other than a dwarf noble

I honestly think your reading too much into it and are seeing things where there isn't supposed to be.

I do think they have one of the best damn moments in the game though... won't spoil it, but if you gotten to that point you'll know just what I'm talking about.
Not saying I hate the legion of the dead I love slayers... so vice versa.
Maybe I am reading to much into it though... I suppose if I like them, why even bring it up.

No.
More than a passing similarity?
Yes, definitely.
Saw that in "The Stolen Throne" before I even laid hands on the game.
I'm sure that if it's really a problem BioWare will hear from Games Workshop's solicitors shortly ...
... 'til then I will continue enjoying both.

What matters is not whether your concept is original, but what you do with it.

Also, to become a Slayer you must have a really BIG smear on your honor. Some Legion of the Dead members go there because they can't pay their debts! The silliest reason is enough to join the Legion. They declare themselves dead so their past won't catch up to them and so they can fearlessly go into battle and die fighting the darkspawn where nobody will hear their story.
Slayers go out axes blazing in such a fashion that there are stories of their bravery (individual bravery, while Legion works as a single entity, all members being stripped of a name) are told for generations to come. Slayer dying a death unheard of does not regain his honor.

Yes, and the Templars are a rip off of the Inquisition and the Grey Wardens are a rip off of the Grey Knights.
Not really. The Templars don't have anywhere near the authority or the sheer power of the Inquisition. If anything the Grey Wardens have more in common with the Inquisition.
And frankly, the Grey Wardens have little in common with the Grey Knights. I suppose if all Grey Wardens were Mages with the Arcane Warrior specialisation I could sort of see where you're going there.
Disclaimer: I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic here. The above is taking your point at face value.

by honor, and it is very possible for a to dishonor himself to
the point of no return... and pass this dishonor onto his family.
When
this happens the declares himself dead. He considers himself
dead, his family considerds him dead, and all other consider him
dead. Literally.
The then ventures out to find death in
battle, and regain their honor. They are not beyond forming bands and
fighting alongside each other or armies, as this would allow them to
bring down more enemies before their deaths.
There is a
slayer villiage/town with a , and they are allies of the and fight beside them as well as their kin in times of need.
Fixed. Off the top of my head right this second, Klingons, OMG WARHAMMER STOLE FROM GENE RODDENBERRY!!!!!111oneoenoenen
