My party has a reputation of 20, did Tamoko's "quest" (killing Cythandria), promised her to spare Sarevok's life yet in the end upon meeting Tamoko again eventually all dialogue options are exhausted (see below, yes I scrolled all the way down) and only the option remains to slay her.



What would be the cause of this? Upon reloading the same happens, I don't recall this ever happening before.

There's a check at the dialog choices. I don't know for certain what though, wisdom or charisma though I suspect charisma - lot of charisma checks in BG 1. If the person she is talking to doesn't have enough you have to fight her.

I think most of the checks in the game are based on reaction - both reputation and charisma have reaction adjustments. My experience of Tamoko is that I can very rarely convince her not to fight, so I suspect the reaction adjustment required is quite steep (and my characters tend to have low charisma).

...if your NPC Reaction is 15-20 say "There is always...", "I will not...", "If you would..." options 1, 3, 2 and she will leave.

@virumor, Khalid only has a starting Charisma of 9 so I suspect that was your problem.

The game checks for both Wisdom and Charisma here. If you pass the Charisma check, the option "....., then you are allready dead" pops up in dialogue. The game then checks your Wisdom. If you fail the Wisdom check, you still have to fight her, because she thinks you're just using empty words. The Charisma check is pretty hard to pass, IIRC (17 or 18). 9 is definitely too low. The Wisdom check isn't very high. I seem to remember passing it with a score of 13.
