I know some people RP themselves, others give their Sheps a very different personality....everything in between, etc... So who is your Shep?

My Shep...I play him partially as I imagine him and partially who I want him to be:

As I imagine him....Something of a Top Gun attitude, cocky, vain (coughed up the 50,000 platnium for the face fix as soon as he picked up Mordin...gotta look his best), has tickets on himself, knows he can get the job done, does not doubt himself, believes he knows best.

Mixed in with...

Who I want him to be....Very compassionate, just wants to get the job done as efficiantly as possible, sedate combatant, no time for parades and speeches, focused, a bit of a smart *ss....and loves Kasumi....

Darrin Shepard is impatient with people who waste his time or can't look at the bigger picture. He has no tolerance for naivety. When Daniel mouths off after Shepard saves his life he very quickly loses his temper. In his mind Daniel is just another soft civilian who doesn't really understand how the galaxy works. Just like those idiots protesting over Torfan.

He's very confident and driven, he loves combat.

One of his main motivations in life is not to be like the thugs he knew as a child. Though some would argue that many of actions he's taken do make him into a thug he would passionately deny this (even if it might very well be true). He joined the Alliance to get away from that and it is the reason he didn't shoot Finch.

In the end though he knows the only person you can really rely on to watch out for number one is yourself. The Alliance was a means to an end, a chance to better himself.

He likes people who are tough, people who have a spine, as well as people with a smart mouth. Darrin is often sarcastic himself and so he can appreciate it in others. It's why he and Ashley got along so well and why he likes Joker a lot. He might even have a little affection for EDI.

"I thought we were going to have to fight every damn Collector here." - Shepard

"Perhaps you should consider updating my hardware." - EDI

Trust is earned, not given. So he was wasn't willing to release the rachni queen or even to trust Major Kyle. On Freedom's Progress he knew he could trust Tali, but after Prazza's betrayal he was not willing to trust Tali's superiors.

His relationship with Jack is a bit of a contradiction. On the one hand he likes pragmatic ruthlessness... but at the same time he sees a weaker version of himself. Jack is just a thug, she never rose above it and never will. Deep down the kid in him is enthralled and envious of her history of rebellion and destruction, but that makes him feel uncomfortable and he resents her for it.

He felt a little sympathy for Morinth, understanding why she'd want to flee. Ultimately I think what tipped him over the edge and made him decide to recruit her was how similar they were. Truly he regrets that he can't be with her. More than that though, he found Samara to be very fake. She claimed to adhere to a strict code but was willing to make new pledges on a dime. Before he entered the VIP section of Afterlife she also confided in him that she could imagine sharing his burden with nobody else. He knew right then she was just trying to flatter him, and he hates that. After all he wasn't very happy with her for wanting to drag him to Omega in the first place.

I play my Shepard as if it were myself in those circumstances. I have tried playing total renegade, but that isn't me. I make the choices that make sense to me and if that is paragon or renegade then that is fine. By the end of the game I usually have a full paragon score with about 10% renegade.

John Shepard (Sheploo) is a paragon who gets along just well with everyone he comes in contact with. Very social and everyone must be around him.:wub:He brings a feeling of security and teamwork on the Normandy. He is of couse pro-human but not exactly for Cerberus, doing everything he can to save human lives. He is Earth-born, (British) and loves his homeworld. His love interest is in Miranda, although all the girls can't stand to be away from him.. He knows when it is ok to be funny, sarcastic and serious. He destroyed the Collectors base and serves the Citadel and Systems Alliance as much as he can.

Shepard as I see him is a completely ruthless SOB who will let nothing stand between him and victory. Some softer types would call him a criminal or a murderer, but in the end the work he does saves lives, and that's all that matters. He's the kind of person who I would want defending the galaxy, or our country in real life.

As a girl, I also play as Sheploo, as none of the other faces matched how I wanted, or were just plain scary or ugly. lol

But he is Renegon, and will get any job that is asked of him done, and will head out so save innocents. He is pro-human and loves Earth. And the Reapers are going to wish they never set foot on Earth when my Sheploo comes! He currently has no love interests as he is waiting for Kaidan... But, he got really close to Tali and Miranda.

Doesn't like the spotlight. A more reserved/shy attitude, but uber competitive and confident in his abilities. Copes with problems/stress with humor/arrogance. He is a science, technology, and information geek. Has an emotional wall, but treats his crew/squad as his family he never had(Earthborn), very defensive and protective of them -- and trusts them fully.

Johnny Shepard. Colony born. War Hero. Vanguard. Pure Paragon.
He's much a kin to Eddard Stark from the game of thrones book. Honor bound and dutiful to the end. Fiercely loyal to his friends. Always fights against the corrupt and helps the helpless.

Kano Shepard. Earth Born. Ruthless. Soldier. Pure Renegade.
Military was the best bet for him to go see new and intelligent life out in the galaxy, and kill them. Horribly xenophobic and human purist. Then the Alliance back slid on him and turned him into a ball of fuming vengeance.

Logan Shepard. Spacer Born. Sole Survivor. Infiltrator. Paragade.
Free spirited and friendly all around. Hates it when people jerk him around and likes it when people get to the point. Just wants to get the job done and go home.

My Shepard looks like Donnie Yen...so naturally I punch people in the face and don't afraid of anything.

Femshep is a warrior...a Claymore.(not a shotgun the anime) also hits people in the face and doesn't afraid of anything but is sexy....femme fatale.

I am a girl who loves Sheploo to death.
But like what strive said. He is more reserved and shy; but in a cute kind of way. (Shy stud hotties are sooo hawwwt) His duty revolves around saving Humans and he is slightly racist, although he has plenty of friends from other races. Since he is shy, all those who have a liking or interest in him have to go to him first to make the first steps in starting a relationship. But once they get to him, he opens up. He is Earth born, like to think of his as Dutch (original Sheploo) and doesn't really get along very well with the Systems Alliance. But he still sees Humans as top.

Kharlo Shepard is male, gay and aware of his sexuality, but doesn't really bring it up and never would unless it was with someone he liked in a special setting. For the most part, he keeps to himself because he knows he has a job to do and people are depending on him, his leadership, and his strength of character. So he's not exactly open to chatting about his own emotions most of the time, but will definitely lend a shoulder and an ear to whoever needs it.

He is very protective of his crew and friends and very open to diplomacy between differing species, believing less in the "every species for itself" mentality that Ashley has and more in a "we can work together to get better results" mentality. He welcomes alien and human crew members into his ship alike.

Outside of the Normandy, he can get pretty Renegade. He's difficult and harsh with his enemies and will deal with them swiftly and mercilessly, especially if these enemies threaten someone he cares about. He has no qualms in pushing enemies out of windows and electrocuting a few of the bad guys for the greater good, and is unlikely to show weakness to an enemy he encounters. He has a constant need to be in the front of the lines and shielding his crew, hence why he's a Vanguard. He will do his best to keep the enemies at bay while the rest provide support for him from a safe distance. He is the kind of commander that would be first to enter the battlefield and the last person to leave.

His favorite crew member is Mordin, because he finds Mordin's humor to be hysterical. But the crew member he has had more in common with than any other is Samara. He has a really, really close relationship with Tali and Liara, and he sees them both as little sisters of sort. He's very proud of both them for what they have achieved since he met them. He's also good friends with Miranda, which started off as a rocky friendship but soon grew when Shep helped Miranda recover her sister. He also appreciates Ashley, even if her point of view is completely different from his about human-alien relations. He also really admires Wrex, Grunt, and the Kogran in general for their incredible determination to keep surviving, as well as having admiration for Thane. His favorite species of all though are the Hanar...he finds them utterly fascinating.

Deep down he's kind of lonely and really wants to find a guy that sparks him. Preferably another soldier than can understand the difficulties of such career. His physical type is definitely like Vega, but his personality type is more like Alistair from Dragon Age. He finds that kind of personality endearing...

WOAH! I have never even thought about any of these things consciously. It came out like water as I typed it, but it's all accurate. Crazy how involved one can get with good RPG characters...

Victoire Shepard
Adept
Spacer/War Hero

"As High as Honor"
The best way to describe Vicky would be to say that she was raised like a turian. Discipline and self-sacrifice have been drilled into her. Her decisions are determined by how they will affect the public. For example, she sympathized with Samesh Bhatia, but she knew that Nirali's body wouldn't save anyone by being buried in the ground.

When it comes to combat she believes in honorable fights and avoids using cheap/underhanded tactics. Sure, her opponents won't "fight fair", but so far she's proven that she can get things done by stabbing someone in the face rather than in the back. She tries not to kill enemies that she has a clear advantage over, she'd rather put them behind bars than kill them. They can't pay for their crimes if they're dead (one of the reasons she has a thing against Justicars).

Above all, she cares about the people under her command. To her, they're family. But deep down she knows that some of them may have to die for the greater good (ex. Virmire).
