River Shepard - Colonist - War Hero - Soldier - Paragon
Her life of Mindoir was hard but very happy, she was completly a daddys girl and had a sister that was 6 years her junior, who she doted on. She spent alot of her free time with her father who taught her to shoot, track and general tomboy things :-). He had often expressed his wish that she would join the alliance when she was old enough. When the slavers hit she was out with some friends cataloging some local wildlife for a school project, when she realised what was happening she managed to make it back to her parents prefab without being spotted but when she got there she found 3 slavers and her family dead, she picked up her fathers gun and shot them, before cradling her sisters body until the Alliance arrived to save her. She joined the alliance partially because her father had wished it and also because she wanted to do all she could to stop it happening to other familys. During training she pushed herself hard, determined that she would be the best she could, she had few friends as even in her spare time she would be in the gym or practicing or reviewing class notes on tactics etc.During Elysium she saw it as a chance to save people and prove herself so she pushed herself to the limit.
She always strives to do what is right and best for people. She used to suffers pretty badly with nightmares, Mindoir, Elysium, Prothian cypher and being spaced although they have now started to fade. She has had no LI's as yet - because she is head over heels with Joker, even though she is too shy to say anything too him about it (please bioware give me this one in ME3). More than anything she want to get the reapers defeated so she can either take up an N7 training position as she feels once its all over she has done more than her fair share. She trusts Tali, Garrus, chakwas and Joker above anyone as they havve stuck by her through think and thin

Events on Mindoir have left Amara hypersensitive to her surroundings and people's moods. She doesn't like to admit it, but Akuze has given her a need for control, making her methodical, calculating and uncompromising. Always watching, instinctively setting aside every conversation and interaction until she practically developed an eidetic memory, Amara has disturbed and surprised more than a few people who have underestimated her. She believes that less is more in that the less clues you give of yourself, the more of an advantage you gain.
In her quieter moments, she worries that she's losing touch with her emotions. Becoming numb when you're planning tactics with people's lives is a liability. So it's a strange relief to care so painfully for a teammate that has so far survived walking beside her. She's hoping Garrus will still be standing in the end.

SERAFF SHEPARD, Guardian Sentinel (my canon shep)
“Reasoned in thought, elegant in action.”
Reputation: Calm, collaborative, philosophical, jack of trades
Alignment: Paragon 5.0, Renegade 0.6
Background: Earthborn/Sole Survivor/European.
Signature Abilities: Power Armor, Throw Field, Heavy Warp Ammo
Weapon of Choice: Carniflex Hand Cannon
Preferred Squadmats: Mordin Solus, Kaidan Alenko, Samara, Urdnot Wrex
Love Interest(s): Kaidan Alenko, Liara T’Soni
Seraff is a thinker and a diplomat, focused on the big picture. He is controlled, but relaxed and friendly, intelligent, wise, and a good leader. He considers as many angles as possible, as quickly as possible, before acting. He believes that galactic stability and collaborative action among the races are goals worth striving for, and so has little patience for xenophobic groups like Cerberus. He avoids conflict when possible, but when pressed is precise and deadly.
Seraff's closest ties are with Liara, whom he came to consider a sister and confidant; Mordin, whose intellect and personality fascinate him; Kaidan, whom he considers a very noble man, fellow soldier, and perhaps more; Samara, whom he considers an adviser and kindred spirit; and Wrex, whose toughness and tenacity inspire him. He also has a close friendship with Dr Chakwas.
Seraff did not save the Rachni queen, believing her species was too likely to destabilize the galaxy at a very precarious time. That decision still haunts him.

ABIGAEL SHEPARD, Mechanic Engineer
“Get the job done intelligently and quickly. And don’t complain.”
Reputation: Unemotional; focused; gearhead; motherly to friends.
Alignment: Paragon 4.0, Renegade 2.0
Background: Spacer/Ruthless/Jewish-Scottish.
Signature Abilities: Attack Drone, Area AI Hacking
Weapon of Choice: Vindicator Battle Rifle, Blackstorm Singularity Projector
Preferred Squadmates: Tali’Zora vas Normandy, Legion (deceased), Garrus Vakarian
Love Interest(s): None
Abigael is intellectual and efficient, straight lines from a to b. Emotionally aloof and half guarded, half uninterested in intimate relationships (never pretty, she focused on her intellectual gifts instead of interpersonal relationships). She does however tend to act as den mother to her crew, a side of herself that reminds her of her mother. Abigael doesn't concern herself much with politics; she believes that whatever measures must be taken to defeat the Reapers are the correct measures, and whatever mess is left over is preferable to annihilation. In combat, she sees the most efficient solution immediately and pursues it.
Abigael sees a fellow tech geek in Tali and so they have a close friendship and coordinate almost effortlessly on missions. She admires Garrus' stoicism and determination, and their relationship is almost brother-sister. Abigael felt a kinship with Legion and still mourns his loss; she keeps him alive by using the shield technology she learned from him.
She is cautious about other races, assertive, and direct in her communication. She abhors whining. She kept the Collector base as a tech resource for HER, not Cerberus.

-Quinn
Marie Shepard
-Female
-Earth Born
-Ethnicity:
Black
-Vanguard
-Boss Lady.
Quinn Shepard was raised by her
grandmother in Atlanta, Georgia since her parents passed away when
she was little. When she was a little girl she was nice and did good
in school, but when she hit her teen years she started to act out and
become rebellious. When her Grandmother died Quinn lost her way and
turned to a life on the street and running with gangs. In her crime
years she was referred to as “The Girl” by her gang mates as well
as her enemies. She was known for brutal tactics and how she dealt
with people who got in her way. Those were dark times for Quinn, she
experimented with heavy drug use, and was spending her life running
from the law for her numerous crimes.
At 18 she was arrested for Assault and
Battery, for beating up her cheating boyfriend.
The judge hearing her case offered her
a chance to enlisted in the military, seeing that if she had the
chance she would really be someone. It was either that or 5 years in
prison, Quinn chose the military.
During her time in the military she
had changed from being a completely hard stone to being manageable.
She was looked up to by her fellow soldiers for her drastic change in
attitude and her brilliant skill. Everyone was positive that she
would have no problem climbing the ranks, and they were right. On a
personal level she was also known as man eater having more then a few
fellow male soldiers who she had 'flings' with. It was rumored that
she had also been with one of her Commanding Officers, but nothing
was proven.
But after the attack on the first
Normandy and Quinn Shepard's death and being brought back. She did
not feel like the person she was two years ago, she became angry that
her work uncovering the Reapers was being covered up, hushed and
ignored because everyone was so blind by fear they just wanted it all
to go away. She is disgusted with the Alliance and feels her old
ruthless start to show its self once again. She proclaims that she is
done playing nice, and now being not being tied town to any Alliance
rules or red tape she is ready to do things the way she wanted to all
along. Quinn turns back in to the renegade she once was a teenager,
wild, rebellious and not scared to pull out her gun on anyone that
stands in her way. Still with her large ego and domineering over the
top personality her crew is loyal to her. Even though she is a hard
ass she had a soft spot for her crew. and even can take a joke once
in a while.
Quinn likes the bottle a bit too much,
having to drink before bed to keep the nightmares away. And even
needing to spike her coffee in the morning. It is clear that alcohol
has become an issue for the Commander after she was was brought back.
It is obvious that the stress from the mission is starting to take
its tole on her. She a deeply troubled woman who knows how to hid her
personal problems for the sake of the mission...
Relationships in Quinn's own words.
Jack: “I just get Jack, I know what
it like to be young and mad at everything. I understand her.”
Tali: “What can I say? I adore Tali.
Even when I'm having a horrible ****ing day she always cheers me up”
Kaidan: “...What was I thinking when
I slept with him? Next.”
Garrus: “Mmm. Garrus, Garrus,
Garrus...” Quinn looks away as if she is going to speak but changes
her mind. “That's personal. Next.”
Miranda: “At first she was a real
bi***, and I could not stand her and her skin tight cat suit. But
after getting to know her she ain't so bad, I guess.”
Wrex: “Wrex is a badass, I wish he
could be here fighting along side of me like old times. But his
people need him..”
Thane: “His mysterious strong silent
type act is really annoying...”
Mordin: “Mordin is brilliant, and
surprising dangerous. He's a good guy to have on the team...although
when he starts talking all fast, it makes me want to slap him. But
other then that his cool.”
Jacob: “He's alright.”
Samara: “I like her, she's
interesting. But she takes that whole “code” thing a little too
seriously.”
Grunt: “What can I say? Nothing
is better then having your own baby Krogan.”
Joker: “Ha. Joker. He is a damn
good helmsmen and a better friend. Me and him are bro's.
EDI: “She's always mothering me about
sh*t My drinking, my temper, my relationship with Garrus. I like her
tho.”

My main: He is a Spacer, although he is fascinated with Earth and loves his race. He is fond of Liara and the two of them go about saving the universe with Kaidan or Tali who often join them. His crew admire and respect him greatly and he always lets people share what they think. He takes everyone's thoughts into account when he charges in on missions and quests. He does not get along very well with the System Aliance or any huge organization. He hates to admit, but he has a small hatred towards Batarians and Geth. (Can't imagine why
Pretty much a fame-grabber without trying.
That was my first post!

I guess my favorate is Karra Shepard, colonist, war hero.
Her parents died when she was young and she was raised by her grandparents. She watched the slavers kill her grandmother who was trying to protect one of the neighbor kids, and did manage to kill one with a butcher knife. She didn't see her grandfather die, but they found his body after the attack. She always had some guilt that she was too far away to help. Her friend held her down so she couldn't run to them and later they held each other while they both cried at the loss of their familes. She kept a journal after she was rescued, part of the healing process they put her through and often wrote little letters to her grandparents.
She tries to be the person she thinks they would have been proud of. She is almost always polite, though she has a sharp word for someone when they deserve it and has to qualms about killing someone she when she needs to and Fist needed to die.
She's a sentinel with a passion for sniper rifles. She liked Kaidan the first time she met him. He was a good officer and a good friend as was Ash. They had just finished the 2nd of their 3 suggested searches for information on Saren when she got the call about Virmire. Leaving one of them behind hurt, and for a while she questioned her decision to leave Ash, but knew it was the right decision. She was a bit surprised when her feelings for Kaidan grew into more than just friendship, she had her life planned out and romance hadn't been part of that future but life is filled with surprises and some of them are good ones.
They celebrated after taking down Saren and saving the council and then it was back to work. Kaidan was there along with the others and they were going to find a way to stop the reapers. Then she came to and found out she was on a Cerberus space station and someone was trying to kill her and everyone else on board. She managed to put aside her feelings and focus on the danger TIM told her about.
She went to see Anderson as soon as she left Freedom's Progress, asked about Kaidan and got nothing. She hoped he would let Kaidan know she asked about him. She did get her spectre status back, no sense in burning bridges you may need sometime in the future.
Horizon - well Anderson hadn't passed it on that she had tried to find out about him, and she understood Kaidan's anger, just wished they had had more time to talk. When she got his e-mail she felt hope that maybe they could work things out. It was hard realizing to her they had seen each other a few weeks ago and to him it had been 2 years.
She had a good team for the mission and was sad that she lost people but she saved the crew and destroyed the base. She told Admiral Hackett she would go to earth after the mission was over and that's her plan.

Kharlo Shepard is male, gay and aware of his sexuality, but doesn't really bring it up and never would unless it was with someone he liked in a special setting. For the most part, he keeps to himself because he knows he has a job to do and people are depending on him, his leadership, and his strength of character. So he's not exactly open to chatting about his own emotions most of the time, but will definitely lend a shoulder and an ear to whoever needs it.
He is very protective of his crew and friends and very open to diplomacy between differing species, believing less in the "every species for itself" mentality that Ashley has and more in a "we can work together to get better results" mentality. He welcomes alien and human crew members into his ship alike.
Outside of the Normandy, he can get pretty Renegade. He's difficult and harsh with his enemies and will deal with them swiftly and mercilessly, especially if these enemies threaten someone he cares about. He has no qualms in pushing enemies out of windows and electrocuting a few of the bad guys for the greater good, and is unlikely to show weakness to an enemy he encounters. He has a constant need to be in the front of the lines and shielding his crew, hence why he's a Vanguard. He will do his best to keep the enemies at bay while the rest provide support for him from a safe distance. He is the kind of commander that would be first to enter the battlefield and the last person to leave.
His favorite crew member is Mordin, because he finds Mordin's humor to be hysterical. But the crew member he has had more in common with than any other is Samara. He has a really, really close relationship with Tali and Liara, and he sees them both as little sisters of sort. He's very proud of both them for what they have achieved since he met them. He's also good friends with Miranda, which started off as a rocky friendship but soon grew when Shep helped Miranda recover her sister. He also appreciates Ashley, even if her point of view is completely different from his about human-alien relations. He also really admires Wrex, Grunt, and the Kogran in general for their incredible determination to keep surviving, as well as having admiration for Thane. His favorite species of all though are the Hanar...he finds them utterly fascinating.
Deep down he's kind of lonely and really wants to find a guy that sparks him. Preferably another soldier than can understand the difficulties of such career. His physical type is definitely like Vega, but his personality type is more like Alistair from Dragon Age. He finds that kind of personality endearing...
WOAH! I have never even thought about any of these things consciously. It came out like water as I typed it, but it's all accurate. Crazy how involved one can get with good RPG characters...
It's fun to do. He sounds like someone who would be a good friend. I've only done it to a couple of them, but I may sit down and write a bio fro all of them.

She's an Earth Born, Ruthless Renegon. The facial scars were just too creepy for her, she got rid of them.
I usually have in mind that she had a tough life back on Earth and that now she's just simply a mix between Zaeed and Jack, only with Shepard's own goodness. She fought hard to have everything she has today and she won't accept failures... her crew would describe her as someone "irascible but good-natured."
She's a lesbian who falls in love with Liara. For their romance I went towards a "I hate to love you" ideology. She remains faithful to Liara in the sequel, but constantly going to Afterlife and even around Illium's clubs.
That's all... not all, but that's all I feel like writing about her.

In many ways my Jane Shepard reminds me me. I recognize myself in her from the first minutes of the game because we have similar characters.

Jane was born and grew up on Earth. She is a soldier/sole survivor/paragade. Normaly Jane doesn’t like conflicts, but she also doesn’t like when people become rude with her or with
her friends. When Jane was the child, she was very shy and timid. But in the Military Academy she has changed a lot. She always dreamed to command her own spaceship. However she wasn't happy to learn that the Council wishes to make her a Sperctre.
Kaidan Alenko was the first man she really loved. But when he turned his back on her, she decided to let him go. For a long time she couldn't choose between Garrus, Jacob and Thane but in the end she decided to stay with Jacob.
As a child she was not even sure that 'Shepard' was her real name. But on the Citadel she met a strange person who said that he knew her parents. Her father's name was John Shepard and he was a respected admiral in the Alliance space troops. During the First Contact War, he proved himself a hero. Her mother Jennifer Shepard was a doctor on her father's dreadnought "Silver Arrow". She died when Jane was born.
Jane still blames herself for Ashley's death on Virmire. She really misses her first team and regrets she couldn't save Saren.

GILGAMESH SHEPARD, Bastion Adept
“I’m just a soldier, friend – but you didn’t know I could do that, didja!”
Reputation: Affable; jock; player; excellent soldier.
Alignment: Paragon 5.0, Renegade 1.1
Background: Spacer/War Hero/Iranian-Italian-Native American
Signature Abilities: Heavy Warp, Crippling Slam
Weapon of Choice: Mattock Heavy Rifle, Arc Projector
Preferred Squadmates: Garrus Vakarian, Urdnot Grunt
Love Interest(s): Kelly Chambers, Ashley Williams
Gil is highly charismatic and personable, and he likes to be cool - to be the hero and everyone's friend. Once upon a time he was a jock and a frat boy, and he still carries some of that all-star bumble with him. Gil cares what others think of him; he's not afraid to be unpopular, as long as he's still cool. He is highly sexual and a bit promiscuous, avoids serious relationships, and is interested mainly in human "classy hot chicks," though he has dabbled with asari.
Gil has a pure affection for being a soldier, and though he is highly confident in his abilities, he tends to present as a simple grunt. He considers his biotic talents his surprising ace in the hole. He is xeno-neutral, doesn't care about "all that stuff;" just one player in a much larger story, doing his part.
Gil has had liaisons with Ashley and Kelly (among others, almost certainly). He prefers to take Garrus and Grunt on missions as their abilities compliment his; he calls his squad the Band. He lost Kasumi Goto and Miranda Lawson in the final mission, and has yet to forgive himself. Miranda’s death was especially difficult for him, as he was never able to reconcile with her after their dispute about Jack.

Greg Shepard, Vanguard
Colonist
Ruthless Background
Full Paragon
Basically had a rough childhood, and during Torfan made some extremely tough decisions, all of which he has nightmares still over and is desperately trying to make up for what some people perceive as ruthless behaviour. He romanced Liara during the events of the first Mass Effect because she didn't judge him based on his past like so many others have before. During the events of Mass Effect 2, he ended up with Jack because he saw a lot in common between them, mostly with the rough childhood, he could relate. He saved the Council, destroyed the Collector Base, but still has people both in the Alliance and Citadel space who question his motives even after all the good he has tried to do in the galaxy. After Arrival, he is in even more hot water with the Batarians who are ready to pronounce him a War criminal due to all his actions against their race. He and Liara are still friends after the events of Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Neferia Shepard
Spacer-Sole survivor.
Infiltrator- “more fire, more sniping!”
Paragon.
Neferia was firm, as a soldier, but playful in private-which has been known to spill over to work on rare occasions. Never a heavy drinker always taking good care of herself gave her stability in the Alliance. She believed in a kind but not naïve approach to problems and people and this usually worked out well.
Growing up in a stable environment (socially) she loved travelling the stars wanting to become an engineer. Ho ever as a late teenage revolt at almost 18 she joined the Alliance to “get damned solid rock under my vacuum stomping boots”, rediscovering how much she really where a true Spacer after a couple of years in the Alliance.
Neferia dealt with what happened on Akuze and bore little to none scarring of the incident, entering the hunt for Saren. However meeting Tombs again and realizing the loss of her team was for experimental reasons made her very angry at Cerberus. The sick experiments she and her team discovered on different Cerberus bases throughout the hunt, made her disgusted and filled her with a strange feeling of hate for the organization.
Accepting the Spectre position was a chance for her to do some good outside of Alliance territory/regulation. She had a rather short temper with bureaucratic idiocy but was aware of that and tried to cover her frustration up in meetings with the council. After those meetings she could spit out long litanies of foul language in colorful combinations just to vent her frustration.
She is a xenophile and had a beginning crush on Garrus in before she died. Her curiosity around the galaxies different species is never sated, hence she freed the Rachni queen and let Wrex live. Lecturing Ashley on her racist tendencies towards aliens and they eventually became close friends.
She never told Garrus how she felt about him before dying above Alchera but knowing that he was safe gave her some comfort in her final moments.
She wakes up in the Cerberus base and probably would have killed herself immediately if she knew where she was. In the shuttle leaving the base she thought about killing Miranda and Jacob but didn’t. Neferia has defied the Illusive Man from the start but is genuinely happy to see Joker and Chakwas again. Her hate for Cerberus is like a forest fire now always trying to brainwash her with their pro human bull.
She is surprised by Mirandas softer side after rescuing her sister and they form a respectful but deep friendship. She looks for spiritual guidance in Samara and Thane finding their inner calm soothing.
Tali and Kasumi are her best friends and Neferia finds herself drinking in Kasumis bar a little more often than she likes to.
Taking up the friendship with Ashley seems unlikely after the confrontation on Horizon.
Sitting alone in her cabin she feels a mix empty/hollow or a turbulence that won't still. Often wondering if she is still the same as she was or if somehow altered. A lot of her playfulness is lost and she is now a harder woman than she wants to be, bad temper refusing to be controlled on several occasions where she used diplomacy with success before.
The only thing feeling precisely as before she died ( and Neferia is clinging on this feeling for dear life), is her love for Garrus. In his company she feels complete and she is so afraid to lose him. Very scared while approaching him with her romantic intentions, they are now overcoming their fears, slowly building a relationship. Maybe getting a pyjack or another spacehamster one day to complete the family.
Without a doubt Garrus will be with her when she goes hunting for the Illusive Man.

Skin color - Olive colored.
Hair color - Dark + straight
Ethnicity - Greek/Puerto Rican heritage.
Diet - 85% vegan, occasionally known to eat fish and meat.
Family - Hannah Shepard.
class - Soldier.
Spacer-based Alliance prodigy, recruited at 18. Superb negotiations and combat records.
The only child of Hanna and [retracted] Shepard, Oliva's early life is a fairly normal story. She spent most of her life following her mother from Alliance base to base. Hannah Shepard was already a decorated fleet hero by the time Olivia was 11 years old, and was almost always on some mission for the Alliance. Even so, Hannah Shepard still made good money, which allowed her daughter to live in fair wealth and comfort for most of Olivia's childhood, even without her mother present. As such, Olivia and her mother have a fairly drama-less, if not estranged relationship.
In most of her classes, Olivia was generally bright. She received high marks in mathematics, history, science, PE&A, and got exemplary grades in her ability to problem solve, reason, and writing. She was also a track star, able to run the 100m dash in 12.13 seconds, and was being considered to train for the Olympics on Earth.
Soon after the announcement that she might be eligible for Olympic training, Olivia's boyfriend, [retracted], 19, died after joining an off world gang. So Olivia, (likely driven by teenage hormones), joined the Alliance military at age 18. She planned to get a major in Negotiations and Criminal Justice, by first fulfilling her two year in-field soldier requirement while studying. Her goal was to become a military lawyer, specifically in working with low income families.
(fairly standard procedure for most spacers looking to get more than a high school education is to spend a certain number of years in the "field military"; soldiers, security officers, police, etc, as a prerequisite for college requirements-- depending on the field)
Olivia frequented an Alliance shooting range, which she soon became the record holder at. She once described the guns as being "an extension of my will".
At 21 she decided to stay in the military to pay for her education bills, despite constant arguments with her mother who wanted to pay (Hannah was making a very good salary). Olivia went for higher training programs, including the advanced B3 training program.
Bombarded with sexism from coworkers and superiors alike, Olivia's determination only strengthened. Using her multicultural comprehension skills to her advantage, she was able to win the respect of many of her male counter parts, while remaining almost entirely professional (non-sexual) with them.
At this point, Olivia's original plan of becoming a lawyer ended. It is not known if she had any personal conflicts with that plan, for she is simply quoted saying "I wasn't interested in it anymore".
After the mastering Alliance advanced CQC program, and taking up kick boxing, Olivia was given her first approved operative choice: to continue working aboard stations--training recruits and working as a ground tactician, or to work security on the colony of Elysium. She chose the latter choice with the intention to finally live on a planet for the first time in her life.
Colony life was fairly easy, allowing her to attempt to develop a less militaristic persona. Over the next year she had a few "unserious" relationships. One morning however, Batarian pirates struck the colony. In the first three hours, with surgical precision, they knocked out communications towers and slaughtered many of the alliance marines stationed there. Using all the charisma she possessed, Olivia ordered the civilians to retreat into the safe vaults of the colony compound.
Using risky but brilliant tactics, Olivia managed to upload a false schematic of the compound walls, luring the pirates to breech a thin but unprotected section of the compound. Filtering them into a killing ground, Shepard single handedly slaughtered 187 batarians in three hours. So many, that she didn't even remember (until much later) that this would be the first time she ever killed.
The batarians, tricked into thinking that the base was heavily defended, attempted to ambush another group of Alliance soldiers with a gunship. Olivia, having studied slaver tech, managed to destroy the gunship in a single shot. The batarians fled the colony, leaving Olivia standing exhausted in a field of corpses, with security footage and living Alliance witnesses confirming her combat prowess.
Medals plastered to her chest, Olivia, (internally extremely proud of herself), began studying Asari commando techniques-- and soon after signed up for the N7 program.
High above the world of military sexism, Olivia was welcomed into the program with open arms and respect. But the N7 program seemed too easy for her, and so she made a mistake.
During a later VI training session, she was shot in the side with a rubber bullet. Despite her armor, it should have still disqualified her from the program. In order to distract her wound from her superiors who were watching her train, Olivia performed an exemplary sequence of CQC moves against five YMIR prototypes in quick succession with only a shotgun, quickly destroying them all. It worked. Nobody watching, not even David Anderson who was present, noticed the growing dark stain against Olivia's muddy armor. They were all speechless with how she handled the mechs.
Later, in the locker room, Olivia vomited blood into a toilet, and went to a (non-Alliance approved) doctor.
Olivia eventually told Anderson about her wound, which he scoffed at, claiming that even the best N7 operatives get beat up during these training sessions. He also commemorated her ability to intelligently distract the brass with flashy combat skills.
At 25 years old, Olivia was one of the youngest people to graduate the N7 program. She was a genuinely calm and cool individual, who never openly let her personal issues get in the way. She often solved difficult problems with slavers, mercenaries, and small ground wars, in a non-violent manner, using negotiation to avoid conflict. That being said, Shepard also was involved in more than 50 high risk operations that required deadly force.
Olivia had 11 relationships by 29, none of which she described as "serious".
Olivia is bisexual, having her first f/f relationship on Elysium. She did not give out the name of that person. She later had another f/f relationship after leaving Elysium, and training for the N7 program.
At 27 she briefly started taking sexual represents (Alliance approved), but went off them after her doctor informed Olivia that it would greatly increase the chances of heart attack by her 40s (exclusive to family history).
Olivia became a vegan at 24, but has been known to occasionally eat fish, chicken, and Thessian organic beef from time to time.
Olivia Shepard enjoys driving super bikes, four wheelers, and testing out mako prototypes, going to shooting ranges, boxing + watching boxing matches, jogging while listening to music, eating at expensive restaurants, and drinking almost anything with alcohol on and off during the day.

He is a colonist and war hero.He is the Captain of the most advanced starship in the Alliance fleet. The first
human Spectre.Hero of the Battle of the Citadel and more...
We are who we choose to be... Many have differing degrees of potential. For the pool of Commander Shepard's potential in Mass Effect 1 and 2.
I see a man who is nothing-less than an amalgamation of four people.
Mike Lowery of Bad Boys:

Like Will Smith's character in these films.Shepard is smooth man... Not only does he relate to all the female love interest in a different way.Treating no two the same. When I was working my way through the VIP section of club Afterlife. When Shep was bustin a move on the dance floor and said to the Asari dancer:
Shep: Hey.
Asari: Hey
Shep: I'll dance next to you.If you want to think that I'm dancing with you.Go head.
Asari: I do want to thank that
I just had to admit that that was pretty damn smooth. The kind of thing Mike Lowery would say or Will Smith's character in Hitch.
Shepard is Barack Obama:

Commander Shepard is a "historic first" as President Obama is a "historic first"... He also has the gift of gab.He can be a real silver tongued devil when he wants to be.The Paragon Speech before the Suicide Mission still gives me goose bumps:
Shepard is Jack Bauer:Shepard: "We don't know how many the Collectors have stolen -- thousands, hundreds of thousands. Its not important. What matters is this: Not one more. That's what we can do, here today. It ends with us.They want to know what were made of? I say we show them, on our terms.Let's bring our people home."
Wow...

Agent Jack Bauer is in my view, nothing-less than the Captain America of the 21st Century. His sense of responsibility.Creativity, intelligence, determination and 'Failure is not an option' attitude and willingness to
sacrifice what is only necessary for victory is unrivaled.
Finally, Qui-Gon Jinn:
Luke Skywalker is still my favorite Jedi Knight.Qui-Gon Jinn is the only Jedi master that I would ever agree to be apprentice to...
Going back to Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.(The first BioWare game that I ever played.) Being immersed in a space faring interstellar community. That was completely foreign to me.What with coming from an pre space faring civilization and all.The one person that I kept coming back to for guidance. Is Qui-Gon Jinn.
As Revan and The Exile in KOTOR 2.I found myself constantly asking: What would Qui-Gon Jinn do?
What would he say in this or that situation? And he has been a great aid to me.
So when you combine these four. What you have is someone who imho, is as close to perfection as humanely possible! This is who my Shep is.Though I wasn't consciously trying to make him turn out this way... But I am far
from displeased with the end result.

Sole Survivor
Paragade with emphasis on Para
Infiltrator
She is very much a compassionate individual, which you can pretty much tell by the Paragon scale. Although if she sees injustice, she has no problem bringing out the pimp hand and dealing with it, hence the Renegade bit.
She's open to pretty much anything sexually. Bicurious with Kasumi, currently engaged with Garrus. Oh, and most importantly, silky smooth skin.

Additionally:
- he's emotionally scarred by all of that, and therefore closed off to any Paragon action
- he's a closet homosexual, which makes him double angry and unhappy, which means he also blows up combustible canisters to kill Krogan, shoots Wrex, lets Ashley die, and tells Miranda to ****** off, every chance he gets
- he's afraid of heights
- he likes to walk around naked in his cabin quarters
Hmmm.
Freud would have a field day!
