First of all in five days a new dlc will be released for DA2, as a dragon age series fan I'm very happy that we are getting something new to the game even if it might not be a major addition to the game. I hope that in future Bioware would release a major full size expack for DA2 which could potentially also fix many things. Geting back to the topic of the forum how are you preparing as a games and the dragon age franchize fan for the release of the new expack.

Some of the thing i subconsiously started doing is that I left my mage at the beggining of act 3. Than I started leveling an archer that im probley gonna take to act 2. I also got a warrior towards the end of act 2. Than I also have a dw rogue at  postgame along with another mage.

I really don't think this is gonna be a huge addon to the game but hell I might as well get the best of it.

I for one am just happy to see the wardens being brought back. Also! I played origins as a mage so the Amell/Hawke lineage has always peaked my interests. (imagine my delight when i heard "your" mother mention they were related to the hero of Ferelden) Personally i'v got a mage with 2 ssave points, one post game and the other just in act 3. a warrior im working on getting to at least the start of act 2, and a rogue i had been playing to kill time during the PSN crash sitting someplace in act 2 already.
I dont think it'll be incredibly big either, but (as i said) im just happy to be dealing with the wardens again.

Simple. I deleted all my file and I'm planning to reboot the game again from a fresh start.

Oh yea definitely man I also had an Amell warden mage damn that was my favorite character. I think that the Amell Warden could be the cannon warden for the DA3 even. It would all perfectly fall together.

I'm gunna make a warrior and then stop at Act 2, that way I don't have to wait till the next DLC for the weapon to be useful.

hm.. an Amell line of strong magic, merging with the bloodline of flemeth(also of strong magic), and add a pinch of the essence of an old god... thats one POWERFUL baby...  even if it was some kind of final enemy in DA3 i'd love to fight it...

Deleted all my DA2 saves.

Went back to playing much better games that are worth my time ,,, DA:Origins, TW2, FO:NV, DoW II, Jade Empire, solitaire, mahjong, minesweeper, ...

Dunno what you mean by "Preparing". All i have to do is turn on my PC fire up the game ... yep thats all. Don't need to prepare for that.

So i guess my answer is no.

I will be trying the dlc (when I get around to it) at my friends house, who buys everything cuz hes a rich bastard.

Don't think I'll be giving the DA2 team any more of my money until they prove they have the goods.

Preparing? Not really. Legacy DLC is not a day one buy for me. I wait for user reviews und user in-game videos. Then i decide if i will buy it.

I have a 5 GB download limit before I get throttled to dial up speed on my mobile broadband connection. So I've saved 2GB of this month's 5GB just for this DLC. So as soon as I get out of work Tuesday morning I'm zoomin' home and starting to download it ASAP. Hawke + Grey Wardens = Sexy Sexy Good times.

I'm so excited that I decided to play other games. I can't imagine a DLC with this much awesome could be downloaded without my computer exploding with holy fire. So I won't play it. I hope someone else enjoys it however.

I was so overcome by this news that I checked my steam library to see if  DA2 was there. It had been uninstalled.
To others in the house the aura of my relief was palpable.
