Hey im relatively new to NWN online, but i've played almost all of the black isle games. I've tried out a number of different PWs and they're either pure action or very hardcore roleplaying. I'm looking for a mix, I like to roleplay while out adventuring with an objective to accomplish, but i'm less interested in roleplaying my character hanging out in a tavern. To be more specific what i'm trying to find is a server with an interesting story, challenging but not frustrating gameplay, with a focus on completing quests and perhaps PVP. More action oriented roleplaying.
I've played on:
EFU mistlocke
Ravenloft
Higher Ground
These are all great and i've highly enjoyed playing on them, but I'm wondering if there  are any servers out there that fit the description i've given above.

At Worlds of Rhun we have many features which are popular to our players.
We have a vampire bloodline clan system (bite a player, turn them into a vampire if they accept, and then the bloodline will have grown)

We have a Player Pocket Plane system - you can purchase a castle or planar stronghold, which is essentially a housing system.

Spectral Realms - When a vampire player dies, they are transported to the spectral realm, a dark and twisted version of the area they died in- They can either kill several of the ravenous spirits that reside there, and open the portal to return to their body (avoiding xp/gold penalties), or they can die in the spectral realm, and then respawn as normal via passing through the afterlife.

We Also have several off world locations, accessible via Stargates
If you know the address of a World (6 symbol address), then you can travel to off world locations. Often handy for Roleplaying etc.

We have around 40-45 Subraces, some old, some new, some dont even belong in Dungeons & Dragons.

Subraces such as
Alteran - Humans with telepathic and healing abilities. They can initiate a telepathic hold over a target, keeping them held, so long as they maintain concentration check and the target fails a dc check. (More targets as you level up to a max of 4 at level 40)

L'Cie - From Final Fantasy - You create your character, and a random elemental affinity is chosen for your character (Fire, Ice, Electric, Divine, Darkness, Non-Elemental).
You can summon a henchmen, that can shapeshift into a horse. The henchman is unique to your element. You also get elemental properties added to your characters skin, and fists. (every 5 levels = new and more powerful abilities)

Vampire- Completely revamped
Able to teleport through shadows and dark areas from level 10, able to bite players and enemies via a bite attack. If you are sired by another player, you gain properties unique to that bloodline. Bloodlines accrue blood points, which the clan leader can spend on ability and skill point increases for the whole bloodline.
Imagine a pyramid scheme, or family tree.

We use CEP2.3.
Server is hosted in LINX (London Internet Exchange)
IP - 31.132.2.110
Port - 5222

You can try Thain. It's pretty much what you're asking for. There are no haks required. It's RP focused, but all play styles are accepted. Since the master server went down they've installed a system that requires you to enter a password every time you log in with your character. Here's a link to the forums.

the camera hak, you just download the v2 and extract it to your NWN folder (where nwnmain.exe resides) doubleclick the camera.exe and choose patch. it will create a backup of your orginal nnmain.exe so if you ever want to revert simply run the camera.exe again and it will put the old one back.

when i doubleclick it, I don't see a button that says patch, only modify, restore, locate and some other ones.. I tried to use 'locate' to find the nwmain.exe but it doesn't show up in the locator thing.

sorry its, 'modify' and that should do it, you will see ok, ok, ok across the board.
the locate button allows you to look for your .exe. but try modify, it should do the trick if you have a standard install.

You could try our server, Legion of Darkstar: The Sword Coast Adventures. We are currently looking for new players. Our server is a mix of action and roleplay, and it only requires cep 2.2c. We have dozens and dozens of quests for you to try, plus a new main quest, The Time of Dragons Has Rerturned.

Our main quest is a mix of challenging combat and puzzles. It is designed to keep your characters going long after they reach level 40. The quest is still in production however, as part 13 of 15 is nearing completion. The quest is very long though, and should keep you busy for a long time.

You can read more about it here:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/189/index/6496035

Our server is medium-high magic with +10 items being the maximum. The module is currently nearing 400 areas with many more to come.

Our forum is www.legionofrhun.freeforums.org

Please come give us a try.

I would love to say try us out...but Tales is not what you are looking for. We do have action roleplay but we are a tough server with emphisis on role playing first and everything else second.

I would actually recomond some of the servers that have been suggested as well since they do indeed seem geared towards what you are looking for.

You could try Thay. The population has gradually picked up to a decent state. It has roleplay, but plenty of opportunities for action. It has an impressive variety of enemy types. There are plenty of questions, including "random quests" of several different types (standard delivery, research, retrieval, assassination). It has a lot of different factions (Red Wizards, legion, Harpers, merchants, pretty much every temple on the server).

It doesn't punish players for soloing. Magic is low-mid, I suppose, which is further enhanced by a quality crafting system.
The level cap is currently set at 20.

It's worth a look simply for being set in Thay.

I would like to recommend Avlis. There is great RP, and still plenty of adventuring going on too. Lots of other custom content to keep you busy as well (still gaining xp)

http://www.avlis.org

By the way, I went to Avlis from Prisoners of the Mist over a year ago.
