I really don't like the fact that you lose the DLC pieces you get. Are they going to come up with a way for us to keep them or get them back. I like those extras, that I pre-ordered to get.

start your game



go to DLC page.



uncheck the armor/memory band/etc



load game.



go through Dorf Noble origin until you''re in the cell...soon as you get released into the deep roads.



save game.



exit to main menu.



go to DLC again.



re-check the boxes you unchecked at top.



load game.



there ya go.



they know of the bug and it will likely be patched eventually..in the meantime..this works just fine.

Do you need it on consoles? 

I'm running it off of a 360 and even in jail my Dwarf Noble had the helmet stuck to his head.  Everything was removed BUT the DLC items.

But if you're having similar problems on a console, I'd suspect you'd need to do something similar to deleting the specific DLC content and then redownload them before reloading your game. If nothing else, there are forums here specifically dealing with console technical issues.

Thank you for posting the answer here. Right now my internet is down and I am using a library computer to ask questions and I only have 30 minutes, so I didn't have time to look through all the old topics.

Yeah the latest patch says you won't lose your DLC stuff.

Promotional downloadable content items now remain in the player's
inventory when standard items are removed at the end of the dwarf noble
origin.
