So how was it if anyone saw it yet?
Pretty good introduced some new characters and provided insight into the conflict within the Chantry itself.

See it if you want, but it didn't do anything for me.

yes the KC did mention kirkwall the movie appears to be set somewhere between the final events in kirkwall and Cassandra's interrogation of Varric
If this is the case, then I am ok with that.

Anyway, that's really my only problem with it. Nice having it set in Orlais. And there were a few Orlesian accents thrown in there too!
A lot better than I expected. A lot.

- Voice acting (at least in the english dubbed version)
- Art direction
The ''meh''
- The animation (especially in combat scenes)
- Character design. (Templars didn't look like the Templars in the game for instance)
- Overall story.
The bad
- Cassandra's armor (a miniskirt... really ?)
- Mages not using magic. (killed all believablility)
- Canned semi-romance between Cassandra and the mage-guy.
- The plethora of random plot-devices. (like the ancient elven cellphone stone)
- Cassandra having a different voice-actor in the movie than she did in the game.
- The lack of british accents / too many american accents. (dwarves speak ''american'')
- Numerous other lore-inconsistencies.
Final Verdict
The bad outweighs the good by a considerable margin. This movie is pretty bad imo. 4/10.

This was pretty bad. Perhaps my expectations were too high.
Still, though, the stiff voice acting, the characters, lore deficiencies, Cassandra's love interest, meh.
If I knew now what I didn't know then, I would not have purchased this and just wikipediaed the story information.
The art direction was the only aspect of the film that I enjoyed. Seeing the abomination and golems and dragons.. seeing them come to life was a visual feast.
I will not be buying/watching any DA animated anything again.
