I just noticed the strangest thing. When I try to Assassinate a BRITTLE target with a bow, the CCC effect doesn't happen.

I have been testing this with different characters, bows, armor and BRITTLE spells for like a hour now and it just doesn't work.
Example: I use Merrill to Petrifiy/Winter's Grasp/Cone of Cold the target to make it BRITTLE. The BRITTLE icon appears, I use Assassinate (fully upgraded) and CCC doesn't happen. You don't hear that sound for when the CCC conects and the BRITTLE icon remaines, as if I used any other non-CCC damage ability on the target. The only bonus I get is the usual +50% crit damage you get from BRITTLE targets.
Then I tried equiping daggers on my archer Hawke and Assassinate was working as it should. BRITTLE the target -> icon appears -> Assassinate -> CCC sound -> profit.
I also tested Archers Lance and Bursting Arrow vs. BRITTLE and they seem to be working fine. You hear the sound and you get the get the CCC damage boost.

I tested this on two rogue's (both created post-patch), and got the same results. Assassinate CCC working with daggers, but not with bows. 
Can anyone else confirm this?

For me the BRITTLE icon stays and there's no sound, but the bonus from Annihilate still applies: for ex., I got 3520 damage without Annihilate and 6921 with Annihilate under the same circumstances.

Edit: lol, Assassinate/Annihilate does deal CCC-appropriate damage, but BRITTLE status stays not only visually: Archer's Lance can still exploit it. Cool bug.

I'm pretty sure it worked for me back in the Orsino fight.. not sure u can go upto 30k dmg without the brittle thing but I don't notice the brittle icon disappearing and the smash sound as much as i do on the other 2

Right, I checked the numbers again and it seems you do get the bonus from Annihilate upgrade, but the BRITTLE effect doesn't go away. And that means you can fire your Archers Lance/Bursting Arrow right after that and still get the CCC bonus from that. Basically, you can get 2 CCC's on the same brittled target.

Case closed, I guess.
