Hello fellow Mac gamers!

Mac OS X 10.7 has just been released. If you have it already, I would like to know your experiences!

Does Dragon Age run flawlessly or are there any errors?

For those who also played Dragon Age on 10.6, how is the graphics performance compared to the old system? Not that I have much hope for improvements, as Cider seems bottlenecked by the CPU, but I have heard the OpenGL improvements in Lion dramatically increased the performance of World of Warcraft, for example.

The game runs on Lion, but has some graphical glitches, namely, in characters when viewed at a distance. The performance in terms of FPS seems to be the same compared to SL.

Thanks for the feedback! Let's hope we get a Cider update, maybe together with patch 1.05!

You're welcome. I went through the whole of Soldier's Peak campaign and aside the problems I mentioned everything seemed ok, on par with the performance in SL. Oh I got the occasional crash but that happened with SL as well. A new patch would be very welcome, but I wouldn't count much on it. Hope the guys from Bioware or Transgaming are listening

Also, while I was playing the game, achievements and screenshots of the game were uploaded in my bioware profile as before. You can check there the latest screenshots that were taken while I was playing in Lion. Two of the photos were taken without frame buffer effects and one with the frame buffer effects turned on. I finally came around to buy Lion myself, and being 25 hours into a new playthrough I can confirm what fac3l3ss mentioned.

The game starts and runs fine, and has the same bugs as in Snow Leopard (or Windows even...) and the same graphics performance as in Snow Leopard.

Nothing gained, nothing lost!

Nice. I crossed my fingers when I bought this game last night, good thing DA:O Digital still run on OSX lion. My friend has a boxed copy of the ultimate edition but it won't run.

Note that there is currently a bug in the graphics drivers of 10.7.2 for Intel HD Graphics 3000, if you have that chipset you might experience some graphical distortions ingame, but it should still run.

I have the ultimate edition myself, and it does run... strange.
