Personally, I've thought about deactivating it, but I might want the Bozar or Medicine Stick later.
Oh, and if you were thinking of getting Realistic Headshots for even more immersion, Nevada has you covered already. People usually don't walk away with a crippled head.

I personally like Li'l Devil, (which is an always carry pistol for me for critical chance and DAM), and Two-Step Goodbye...an explosive power fist, hilarious! I don't have much of an unarmed skill, but TSGb is a very entertaining thing. So to me, yeah, GRA is worth keeping.
On a side note, one of the many reasons I love the Fallout universe is that many weapons in the game have a an actual backstory and loosely nod to the real-world (like the 12.7 pistol being a pre-Great War import manufactured by SIG Sauer) or are a subtle tribute to real world things (like All-American).

So, here's me and my bad self (Sadly Not A Ghoul, after Ulrich Died it didn't seem right) geared up and ready to do bounty hunt the **** out of some people.
Hopefully it doesn't end with me screaming and dying. I spent all my Monies on that gun, so I'm a little low on ammo for my other main (An Assault Rifle) and my Side Arm(A Chinese Pistol).
We shall see, ONWARD TO VICTORY!

Oh, and a Combat shotgun..., a classic! Man once I got that thing in FO3, I think I only carried it and a sniper rifle...until a new playthrough where I modded in an M-4 and a Benelli autoloader. I added on a Mossberg 590 pump for New Vegas....but I still really like that classic FO3 combat shotgun with it's high volume drum.
I like the grenade slot on the HUD as well. That's the quick-slot from Project Nevada right?
Good job. He looks badass.

As for my guy, the armor is called the Death Walker Duster, a modified NCR Ranger outfit. I was getting my dickhole smashed pretty hard, so I decided that a little tweak never hurt anybody. I still get hurt plenty(Even had the first bounty target take my head off with a rifle round), and it just looks too cool to scour the wasteland for.
Now, about the Mossberg you have, is it added to the loot lists or what? And does it work with all perks? And, most importantly, does it have mods?!

Did you install to the Data folder or the New Vegas Folder? You need it in the New Vegas one, with the game, launcher, etc. Read the description on the Nexus for troubleshooting.

Installed in the New Vegas folder which is why I asked for help, its not detecting the FalloutNV.exe

Mossberg 590 is here:
http://newvegas.nexu....com/mods/36407
And yes it has three mods, but the developer makes you jump threw a few hoops to get them. You can see where they are located in the description. Two of them are really worth finding (Shell Side Saddel [+ 5 Damage] and Extended Magazine [+ 2 Shells]). You'll have to be a little thorough searching in the caves they're located in, but I didn't have any trouble finding them.
The shotgun's easy to pick up. Just buy it from Chet or Gun Runners. It's reasonably priced. I've seen the effect work with And Stay Back perk, but cannot guarantee Shotgun Surgeon.
Don't know how well it works with overhaul-type mods, but wouldn't think there'd be any problems. It's a fairly subtle addition. Eh, give it a try and see if it works for you.

NVSE crashed my game permanently so I had to de-install it. Can't help I'm afraid. Could it be a Win7 problem? Try running Steam and FNV as an administrator, restart Steam and start the game from Steam. Also if you have the exe in a subfolder, move it out of the game folder. That helped me with one mod that confused my game.
I'll try that, I want to get those New Vegas Uncut mods but they need this thing to work.

I'll try the Mossberg Barby, but as it stands, I think my Combat Shotgun will be my go to Scatter Blaster for this playthrough, until I upgrade MUC later to the Riot Gun, which is just a straight evolution really. But sadly, most of my Caps are being spent on ammo, medicine, water, and repair parts.
Yep, for the first time in all of my playthroughs, I AM RUNNING OUT OF FOOD WATER AND AMMUNITION. It's a whole new ballgame.

I will cry if FO4 is essentially Skyrim in the wasteland. Such an amazing setting cannot counteract the sheer lack of structure and depth i've seen from all Bethesda games. I'm afraid they may even turn FO4's leveling system into that of Skyrim's.

Having said all that, I would be very upset if they simply try to wedge Skyrim's mechanics (leveling, gameplay, etc) into the Fallout universe, in some half-baked attempt to garner the same sales numbers. Keep the franchises separate, unique, and as independent as possible I say. If they depart from what appears to be a very well proven gameplay system that has evolved for Fallout, I foresee nothing good. It would just be a repeat of the same tragedy Bioware finds themselves in, in attempting to smash two very diverse franchises together, to "broaden popular appeal," which has resulted in little more than an ugly mess and a fractured fan base that they can no longer count on to show up.
I honestly don't think Bethesda will go in that direction...but am quick to add that I didn't think in a thousand years Bioware would pull a DA2 with Mass Effect either, so my track record is not all that.

Man, I hope not Brett. I really...really...hope not. FO4 is one of the few games on the horizon I'm actually looking forward to. I should perhaps lower my expectations just to be prudent.
Do that, and don't believe a damn thing Todd Howard says in interviews. Those are the things that ended up ruining Skyrim for me so much; Believing the Hype, and forgetting that the man is as Bad as Peter Molyneux.
But hey, maybe the Obsidian/Black Isle guys will work with Bethesda, since they know how to do Fallout better than anyone else.

I've gone through and quick searched on Nexus, but didn't see anything on a quick search that improved overall textures and the like (except for NMCS Texture Pack). Certainly there's more good visual improvement mods out there? Any help?

Resurrecting this thread because I'm looking for a few visual mods for New Vegas, and don't want to clutter up the Skyrim thread asking about FO mods.

Well, there's Nevada Skies URWLified verison, which changes skies, nights and weather drastically. There's also Fellout which performs a similar function and has an optional plugin for greener grass. There's book of water which adds in HIgh Resolution Power Armor, ADAM or A definitive armor mod if you want the NCR to have high res armor.
There's also some ENBs, if you're going that route I'd suggest Enhanced Shaders. For trees and stuff like that there's Wasteland Flora Overhaul. Finally, if you want high res textures there's NMC's textures pack.

Project Reality is superior to Nevada Skies in my opinion, but it's really a matter of preference. Either way Enhanced Shaders is also pretty much a must.
Besides NMC, there's also Poco Bueno/Ojo Bueno - I actually like to install NMC first and then install Poco over it, which is a best of both worlds for me (as NMC then covers everything Poco doesn't).
Some other visual ones I'd recommend are Wasteland Flora Overhaul, Mojave Nights, Hectrol FX Duststorm, and New Vegas Redesigned.
EDIT: Although, if anybody cares to toss out another ENB preset suggestion, I'd love to give another one a try.

Oh yeah, how could I forget about Redesigned, there's also a great mod out there that makes faces look even better called Rugged Race and the modder who made that one also has another one called Bullet Scar which retextures another mod called Ghoul Eye which adds a scar to your right eye as a result of getting shot in the head.
I'd use Project Reality but there's three issues I had with it, first its no longer being updated and probably will never be updated again since the author has declared that he will no longer make any mods. The second issue is that it messes with Dead Money's red skies which I think play a great part in setting the atmosphere of that DLC and finally since it's not being updated anymore there will never be any posibilites of that mod ever working right with an ENB but I'm not so sure on that one. On the other hand the Nevada Skies author or one of its creators is still updating the mod and is about to release an ENB that works with URWLified.
As for high res textures, I don't use them, neither NMCs nor the other ones, not because I can't but because of the stupid engine limitation, due to NV being a 32 bit application. I don't want to have crashing because the damn thing can't handle more than 4GB and textures tend to take up a lot of that and I already have mods that add a lot of NPCs, hopefully, the next Fallout will be a 64 bit application now that the new consoles can "handle" that, so that way we don't have to deal with that anymore.

Wasteland Flora was another I found on a search. Looked compelling enough for me to add it in my notes. Will probably try that next.
Then will look at Nevada Skies and see where to go from there.
Doing this one step at a time. I've got a ton of gun, quest and gameplay mods on; this texture and visual stuff is all new to my game, so proceeding cautiously.

Just got NMC on. Went with the small pack first and it's not too bad. Very subtle. May have to bump it up a notch, but overall pleased. No issues after an hour's run time....yet!

The only thing you need to watch out for is not to exceed too much with textures, if your game starts crashing a lot it could be because of that limitation I mentioned. There is a 4GB patch for New Vegas though, but if you use NVSE, you'll need to download the FNV4GB-NVSE compatible version to use both.
