Does a sneak Shoryuken with a Ballistic Fist count?

Thanks for the info man. How high do my skills need to be to build it?

All you need is the schematic and the component items: Nuka-Cola Quantum, Abraxo cleaner, turpentine and a tin can. But you have to have the schematic or it won't unlock at the bench. No skill checks at all.

Yes. Unarmed too. It's not as hard as it might seem.

Well, I finished up the Mothership Zeta DLC, and started doing some random stuff.

I stumbled upon a string of Broken Steel sidequests that I'd never done before: Holy Water, Protecting the Water Way, and The Amazing Aqua Cura! I'm actually on my way to Underworld to meet up with Griffon, so I haven't completed that one yet.

I remembered that I wanted to buy into the traveling caravans (Crow, Lucky Harith, etc.), so I went to Canterbury Commons. I paid Uncle Roe, and went to see which one was just outside of town. And the memory hit me - in this playthrough, something happened to Crazy Wolfgang. He's just gone. I don't know if he died, or what.

His Brahmin just wanders outside of Canterbury Commons. So sad.

@happy_daiz, do aliens in MZ DLC look like alien creatures or just ghouls with shiny armors?

Well, there are two types - the regular aliens, which look exactly as you'd assume. Little green(ish) men. There are a few different types of these aliens, but they're essentially all the same, looks-wise.

The other type are Abominations. They are kind of like a cross between a regular alien and a Deathclaw. They can hit pretty hard with those ridiculously long arms.

After all these years of hype and stubbornness.i finally fave into the order of these "new/"next gen" Fallouts.few quest into FO3:GOTYE and somewhat into mother zeta.i see what a chunk of the HYPE was bout.tis a fun game, but like a normal beth game.it has its ISSUES and some moments of total game breaking BS.but worth playing so far.but for like ten bucks it was worth it

Some of the voice acting in FO3 is cringe-worthy, I'm finding. That little girl Sally, on MZ? Yeesh. That was just awful. By the end of the DLC, I'm pretty sure my ears were bleeding.

But alas, you have to take the good with the bad, and take into account the age of the game. There are still lots of really awesome aspects to it. Like...albino radscorpions, for instance. Posted Image

Man, I completely forgot about alien abominations in Mothership Zeta. I've only played Zeta once in three main game playthrough, so I'm actually looking forward to it...that, and Broken Steel. But, I still have a ways to go in this current run.

They're actually not that bad. Of course, I was around level 25 when I fought them. What's killing me are those crappy feral ghoul reavers and swamp folk in Point Lookout. I go through so many stimpaks with them! And I think I'm now addicted to every chem there is.

I'm getting ready to blow up a submarine. Whee!

Yeah I recall that they tried to use an adult VA for that kid. Worked in The Walking Dead, not so great here.

I'm replaying FNV and realized I'd never been in the sewers beneath North Vegas before.

Since I've been doing more of a wandering playthrough on this run through FO3, I'm finding a lot of little things around the Capital Wasteland that I hadn't seen or been through before. There are a literally hundreds of little sites, buildings, sewers, etc that don't have map markers.

On previous playthroughs I make sure I hit all map markers, but my goal on this run is to cover the entire map. Its taking some time to do, but it is revealing previously undiscovered things...not really big things, but "hey, haven't seen that before" sort of stuff.

Oh yeah, there are a ton of unmarked little gems in FO3; it was one of the things that really hooked me in the first place. Skyrim had a lot of those, too. There's just something awesome about finding new things, even if you have spent hundreds of hours playing.

If I see something in the distance, I start heading in the direction of map markers, but inevitably get distracted by something on the way...ooh, Bloatfly! Hehe.

Well, after I blew up that submarine in Point Lookout, I went into a Sacred Bog, fought a bunch of Mirelurks, grabbed some seeds, and got high.

The next thing I remember is wandering back to the entrance, seeing a bunch of wacky bubbleheads, a bonesaw and a needle/pin, hearing phantom ghouls, and knowing that I was in deep doo-doo. The most surreal part was seeing Amata, Moira, and Elder Lyons' bodies floating in the water, before the warhead. And mom.

So I finally get out of there, and have a huge-ass scar on my head. Doh! I met Nadine in the cathedral, and she removed it. I also discovered that Tobar the stinking ferryman was the mastermind behind it! But he's dead now, so...

I also completed the Desmond/Calvert questline. I sided with Desmond. My jaw dropped to the floor when Calvert detonated the mansion. My first thought was of the dogs, so I was quite sad to find out that they were casualties. Funny how you can feel bad for pixels.

Have you been to the USS Ozymandias yet? I loved all the Shelley references on that ship:lol:

One thing I liked about FO3 were the random encounters. There were fewer of those in FNV, more like scripted encounters rather than randoms.

That's the one where you have to get the three soil samples, right? Yep, I've been there, and completed An Antique Land.

I think I've done most of the Point Lookout quest lines, with the exception of the one where you're asked by Blackhall to retrieve his book. I've been trying to work up the ambition to deal with swamp folk, but it hasn't quite happened yet.

I ended up heading back to the Capitol Wasteland at the end. I figured that with Nadine running the Duchess Gambit now, and it being free, I might as well dump some stuff off in Megaton.

I thought there was an achievement for finding all of the places.

I wasted five hours before my friend let me know that the only achievement was the 100 places one.

I just don't even bother with finding every location, anymore. I did in New Vegas, and even in vanilla Capitol Wasteland, but in the DLCs, I just don't care. I'm not sure why.

This is what really endeared me to FO3.  The random stroll that unearthed a house, a marker, a story, etc...  It really blew me away how much time and effort they went through to add in those small details (especially the unmarked locations).  Its those details that likely less than 1% of its gamers would find.  I haven't ventured into Skyrim yet, mostly because I'm a bit over the played-out fantasy genre.  But I love the exploration aspect of these games.  I'll probably pick it up on the cheap before I move into the next gen (to pick up FO4).

FNV has a lot of hidden content, too. Much of it tied to skill or attribute levels. Got to give them credit for that, it helps make playthroughs feel unique.

That's true! Lots of goodies everywhere.

In my most recent NV run, I discovered that you can get to Red Rock to see the Great Khans, right from Goodsprings.

Starting at Red Rock, I just happened to notice that there was a Tribal Village, and a road, so I followed it. There were Cazadores aplenty, but at the level I was at it, it wasn't much of a deal. The next thing I knew, I was heading towards Goodsprings. If you're just starting out, I wouldn't recommend taking that path...at all.

One time, I mistakenly did just that, at about level 2...my Courier did not live very long.

What really turns me off from exploring in any Bethesda game is all of the crap that they will put in the way, for no other reason than to lead you into a giant fight. Oh, you want to discover random store number 5? You can't just climb over that wall of rubble in the way, you need to walk completely around the town, fight 5 groups of super mutants, get rad poisoning and go into a random metro to discover random store number 5. Never mind the fact that your character is a friggin super human who literally needs to get hit with at least 50 bullets to get killed. It is absolutely impossible for a person like that to climb over some stupid rubble. Replace every thing I said with mountains and mountainous creatures and you have Skyrim.

i understand that feeling.ive never had that issue with tes games,to me in "fantasy" games as such.thats ok and makes up with the lore, dont ask for me it just feels right.but ill admit in FO3 that dos boggle my mind at times.at moments it easy to sneak past, but one wrong step and boom headshoted to death.
