Yeah, that's one of my favorite quests, too. When I did it this time, I realized that I'd mistakenly thought taking Arcade there would trigger one of his dialogues. It was Repconn HQ I needed to go to, not there. Total facepalm moment, as I kept wandering around with him, at the wrong location.Barbarossa2010 wrote...
I've only picked up Boone thus far. Haven't even made it to the 188 to get Veronica. This is a slow run for me. But it is fun starting off so...new. Just finished Come Fly with Me. I love that quest. Just my kind of thing with that old 50's sci fi feel like OWB.
I'm a long ways from doing any one of the companion quests.
You know, Vault 22 wasn't too bad with Lily. Sneak was super effective, so I was able to take out spore carriers much quicker and easier than last time.
Now I need to figure out where Rex is. He's not at the 38, so he must be in Freeside...after you upgrade ED-E, that static gets loud, and it's kind of driving me batty. And I noticed that in some locations, his laser appears red, instead of blue, like it should be.

But I walked away with the Ratslayer, so yay.

Finally got around to playing Lonesome Road after putting it off for so long. What a rotten experience that was. It certainly lived up to its reputation as the worst of the four story DLC packs, which is why I put it off for so long.

Honest Hearts and Old World Blues are the only two that get played now during my runs through New Vegas.

You don't want a male Kreia in New Vegas? Conclusion: Begot!
OK, that's fine.
DEAD MONEY is annoying/exciting (based on your gameplay preference)... more annoying IMO.

NV is quite fun, even without mods and DLCs

Those are probably the only ones I'll do this time, too. Although I might do Dead Money, for Christine alone.dreamgazer wrote...

As far as Lonesome Road goes, I just felt bored and uninterested in the plot. Was a little predictable, too. When I was playing Honest Hearts and Old World Blues, I couldn't wait to see how it concluded. I loved the characters and plots (Joshua Graham is one of my favorite video game characters of all-time). They're on opposite ends of the spectrum, but great in their own ways. When I was playing Lonesome Road, I couldn't wait for it to end. I was so bored that I ended up blitzing through the DLC.
Plus, the loot you get at the end of Lonesome Road sucks; especially when compared to what you get in Dead Money, Honest Hearts and Old World Blues. You get gold bars in Dead Money, the greatest weapon in the history of weapons (A Light in Shining Darkness) and Joshua Graham's armor in Honest Hearts and all kinds of zany, ridiculously awesome loot in Old World Blues. I mean, you get a suit that talks to you and injects you with Med-X and Stimpaks.

And I wanted The Lonesome Road to just be over. Didn't even bother with the Courier's Mile.
I just got another Wild Wasteland trigger, with Rex. Jimmy's in the well!

Lonesome Road has the awesome ED-E quests! And the high climbing. I love anything that lets me climb. I think that DLC was for the kind of people who thrive on punishing combat, though. I didn't do Courier's Mile, either, because it's just ridiculous. My Courier isn't that suicidal.

What's funny is that I didn't even know you could get that suite for your own. I think I will be going that route from now on.
Once I went out the door of the casino, and got accosted by Vulpes Invicta, I remembered how much of a pain he was in my last run, and killed him. Right there on the Strip, in front of everyone. Very satisfying.
Afterwards, an NCR MP came up to me and muttered something, and walked right over his body.
Edit: aww, crap. I was thinking of Legate Lanius, not that other guy. Oops.

Plus a showdown, that's been a long time coming through the DLCs, with the one dude that seems to actually know you prior to memory wipe, and has a real mad-on with you for something (intended or unintended) you've done...well, LR is a great climax to the story. Ulysses always ends up an ally to my Courier, just seems like the right path to me; and nuking the Legion into the Stone Age (well...further back into the Stone Age) is really worth making the trip, in and of itself.
See, I see LR as the Couriers path to self discovery and not to be missed. That could be just me I suppose.
Courier's Mile is worth the loot. And the sick side of me thinks its fun. It takes a little planning, and plenty of Rad-X, Radaway, and a Radiation Suit, but it's not at all impossible. Go in, kill everything then walk out and heal up. Then all you have to do is deal with the insane radiation. Not that hard, just stay out of the center of the Mile - where radiation spikes to about 25 rads/sec, and you will walk away with worthy loot. Also, you can't get the Warhead Hunter Achievement if you don't go in. Two of them are located in there.
Loot consists of high tier weapons, GROTESQUE amounts of ammo, aid items, and weapon mods.
Blood-Nap can also be found on the Mile. It's the top bladed weapon in the game with DAM/DPS of 30/110. Better than Chance's Knife or the Machete Gladius.
Do it to say you did it.

Or don't bother with all that because I have more loot than I know what to do with and don't care about achievements.
Well yeah...there's that of course.

...for target practice.
Seriously, it's pretty hard to find much redeeming there...and I've tried. Just can't seem to make it happen. I really can't see how a female Courier could ever side with them.

Don't listen to them. They're just a bunch of profligates. They don't know the awesomeness of Caesar's Legion.Master Warder Z wrote...

In Nipton.
Decided to liven up the joint Clint Eastwood style
Last thing Vulpes saw was a stick of dynamite coming at his face.
Good times.
Seriously there is like no good reason to join with the Legion besides the achievements, and if you look its the least completed faction one on steam.

I thought that BOSS would put them in the right order, but all the mods are placed AFTER the DLC, near the bottom of the list, I thought they were supposed to come BEFORE anything in the load order.
